"Umm sorry" I pulled away from my hand and looked in the other direction.

he chuckled at my gesture as I walked in front of him.

Stupid, stupid why did I do that? I bite my lower lip.

"Wait, this isn't the way to my house," I said looking at my surroundings and glance at him.

"Yeah, I know it's a park you dummy," Lay said while patting my head ever so gently.

"Now my name is dummy, huh" I crossed my arms. Try to look angry.

"Yes, a cute little dummy" He caressed my hair ever so gently as I looked at his face.

"Why are we here?"

"I don't know, I just wanted to... I don't know really" as he rested his arms on the fence.

"Look, a shooting star... the night sky is ever so beautiful," I said pointing at it and he just smiled as I was so excited for the shooting star.

"Make a wish," we both said at the same time.

I wish for a better life. I hate all the mess I am in. I wonder what he wishes for.

"Do you want to know more about me?" He said.

"No, I never asked" And look away.

"Well, that's a yes then," he said with a chuckle.

Flashback

Lay POV

Throughout my life, I always have my parents with me. I thought my life was normal and amazing. But ever since that day. It change my life forever and it became much worst. I was 12 years old when this happened.

I was back from school when I saw my dad beating my mom. They were arguing nonstop. I begin to hide behind the living room door to see why. Turns out my dad was gambling with all the money for the family. He kept on hitting and slapping my mom until she would give him the money as she was down on her knees with blood on her face.

I saw this I wanted to help but I know if I go there my dad will hit me too. After that day my mom said to me "Let's leave this house and she wanted to divorce my dad"

And she did and now my Dad is in a mental hospital.

End of Flashback.

Jinah POV

"Well, it's not your fault your mother was in pain," I explained.

"Why? I should have saved her right then and there I was weak" He said and started to tear up a bit.

"It wasn't your fault you were still a kid" I replied and comforted him.

"You know, ice queen," he said with sobbing in between.

"Here," he took his jacket and covered me.

"You might catch a cold" as we were in front of my house.

I don't know what came over me and raised up on my tippy toes and kissed his cheeks and went inside my house. His eyes were wide open from my gesture.

I closed the door and my backrest against the door as I was smiling, blushing and embarrassed.

" Why did I do that?" I cupped my face to get rid of my blush.

It's the day of the field trips. Last night when I kissed his cheek kept popping up in my head while I was packing.

"Jinah get together there's nothing between us"

Be cool, calm and relaxed today when I meet him. You can do this Jinah.

We were gathering in front of the school. Waiting to get on the bus. everyone was lining up. There were like 5 buses. All the students from senior years are going. So, all the classes are going on the trip.

" Aren't you excited?" Someone said to their friends.

That's right I have none. I'm all alone.

"Class 3C2 students please be in line immediately, your bus is here," one of the teachers said.

So, I quickly dash and ran as fast as I could. I was in a rush didn't know I hit something and tripped, fell but was caught by Someone's arms. I opened my eye to see who saved me and it was Lay. I looked around and saw 8 other handsome men in front of me.

"You should stop falling for me" He smirked, still holding me.

I pushed him aside and said "Let go of me, dummy" with an annoyed tone. He just chuckled.

"Hmm" Someone faked a cough and we both looked at him. It was Baekhyun with his cheeky smile.

"Can you two stop being lovey-dovey, why not introduce to us Lay who's your girlfriend?" Baekhyun said, teasing us.

"She, not my girlfriend" He argued and the others were like "Oh really" with their devilishly smirk.

"We're not, well if you excuse me I need to go to my class's line," I said and was stopped by a tall guy with big ears.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Park Chanyeol and you are?" He asked and offer a handshake.

"I'm Jin-"

"Chanyeol don't you have a girlfriend Yi Soo" Lay interrupted to  my sentence midway.

"I am just being friendly Lay you don't have to be jealous she's all yours" Chanyeol smirked.

"She's not my girlfriend you guys" His hands were still holding mine so I released it.

"Well Jinah these are my friends you met Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Kai, Kyungsoo and Xiumin, this is Chen, this tall fella here is Sehun and this is Suho" He introduced me one by one.

"Hello, Jinah. Hello, my name is Chen. Nice to meet you." Chen grinned, and I reciprocated. What a great person.

"Hello" Sehun and Suho said.

They all said hi except for one. One person I don't want to meet.

"Jinah fancy seeing you" The awkwardness between us can be seen.

"Good to see you again, Xiumin," I replied.

I haven't talked to Xiumin in like forever since that day, the day I confessed to him, and the layer of discomfort between us is visible throughout the atmosphere.
