Anakin's POV
"I'd love to get an order of your blueberry pancakes, along with some bacon, scrambled eggs, and hash browns, please. Oh, and a glass of orange juice with pulp," (Y/n) said with the sweetest smile as she passed the menu back to our waiter.

He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused by her big order, and took the menu from her. "And what about you, sir?" he asked, shifting his focus to me.

I handed him my menu too, grinning at my girlfriend. If there's one thing she adores more than me, her friends, or family, it's definitely food. "Just a black coffee and some oatmeal, please. Thanks."

"You got it," he said, jotting down the order on a little notepad as he strolled away.

"Is that really all you're getting?" she asked, her disbelief clear. It was like she couldn't wrap her head around the fact that I, a teenage guy, was ordering so little. Usually, I'd go for double what she did, but mornings aren't my thing. My stomach prefers its first meal around two in the afternoon. It was only after meeting her that I started waking up at a reasonable hour.

"Yep," I replied, crossing my arms on the table. "That's all I need."

I didn't mean for my response to come off negatively, but it seemed to hit her hard. I could see the anxiety creeping into her eyes as she glanced back at the waiter, who was busy placing the order with the kitchen. "Should I take some things off? I didn't order too much, did I?" she asked in a rush.

Here we go again. She was overthinking things, and I wasn't sure she even realized how much she did it. Her fears were taking over, and it was all because of that jerk Clovis. I could only guess he'd made comments about her eating habits or her using his money since we never talk about him or their past. The way she was reacting made it seem like I had triggered some bad memory, leaving her worried that I might judge her or walk away over a simple food order.

It really got under my skin.

That pathetic excuse for a guy is lucky I don't want to end up in jail again, or I'd give him a piece of my mind for how much he hurt her. So here I am, trying to piece everything back together, and honestly, it's tough. She gets anxious over the tiniest things, fears being left behind, and struggles to trust anyone—but this amazing girl is worth every bit of effort.

And that smile of hers? It means the world to me.

"Hey," I reached over and took her hand, catching her worried look, "You're good, go ahead and grab more if you want. Get whatever you like." I flashed her a warm smile, "It's all on me, babe." I gently stroked the back of her hand, and I could see her relax under my touch.

Her smile came back, and her beautiful eyes sparkled with affection, making my heart race. I'm so head over heels for her, "Just be careful, I might make your wallet cry." She teased, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Bring it on," I said with a shrug, leaning back in the turquoise booth, "What kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't spoil you?" At this point, I wasn't just working on my own future; I was all in for hers too.

A rosy hue crept onto her cheeks as she said, "Ani, you don't have to buy me gifts to be a great boyfriend. Just having you here is more than enough."
