(Y/n)'s POV
"This looks amazing Aunt Satine," I praised her once everything was set on the table and she sat down with a proud smile on her face. Baking sweets is her specialty, but regular cooking is still up on her list of extraordinary skills.

"Yes it does," Anakin chimed in enthusiastically from the seat next to me. He was probably trying to earn some points with her, and I loved his efforts. This woman means the world to me, so her approval is definitely important.

Everyone else followed after our compliments and I can tell Satine was eating it up, pun intended. She smiled and thanked us all before turning to Cal who was sitting next to her. She gently placed a napkin on his lap and he hardly looked in her direction; his blank stare was fixated on the table cloth.

So far he hasn't said much since he came down from his nap, I can only assume that this major change in his life is hard on him. He is still young after all so he's probably very confused and uncomfortable.

Once Satine's attention was away from us, Anakin slowly leaned close to my ear, "What is this?" He whispered, subtly pointing to the dish in front of him.

"Beef Stroganoff," I whispered back. He slowly nodded, and I can tell he still had no idea what it was, "It's just pasta with beef." I clarified as if you couldn't tell by just looking at it.

His mouth formed an 'O' and his nod turned into one of better understanding, "Oh okay, I hardly know what anything is unless it's instant or take-out." He shrugged before quickly leaning in and kissing my cheek, "So thank you for explaining beautiful." His lips grazed near my ear before he leaned his back into his own chair.

"You're welcome," I responded as I took a deep breath. I don't think I'll ever get used to the affect he has on me. I already can't wait for dinner to be over so I can take him upstairs. Just for a quick make-out session obviously, we're still taking things slow.

I picked up my fork to begin eating and listened in on the conversations surrounding the table, "So how long are you planning on sticking around in this small town?" Anakin's brother wiped his mouth as he spoke to my aunt.

She swallowed her small bite before speaking, "I'm thinking permanently," She answered and I could feel the excitement boil inside of me, I assumed this would only be temporarily. I also happened to notice Obi-Wan's face light up at her response; it seems to be infatuation at first sight, "I need to find some work first and then get a place of my own with Cal-"

"You don't need to do that," My father cut her off, gazing in her direction with furrowed brows from the head of the table, "This house is too big for just (y/n) and I, you can stay here permanently." He offered, taking a large bite from his plate and a drink from his beer.

My Aunt has always taken up a huge part of my dad's heart. They didn't have the best childhood and mostly confided in each other. It was even him who basically raised her when he wasn't out being a juvenile; so they've always been close.

Satine shook her head slowly, uncertainty in her eyes, "I wouldn't want to impose on my big brothers life more than I already have."

"You wouldn't be," My dad and I answered at the same time, then he spoke again, "I can't force you to stay here with us, but know that the offer is there, and we both love yours and Cal's company. There's a spare bedroom with your name on it and I'm sure I have an extra small bed somewhere in the garage for little Cal." He does, it was mine when I was little and I saw it in the garage just yesterday.
