(y/n)'s POV
Anakin and I sat side-by-side in the diner booth as Piett and Josie sat across from us. My best friend being the one in-front of me, and Piett being in-front of Anakin.
I slowly tilted my head to the side and rested it comfortably against his shoulder. I saw the corner of his lips tug in a smile as I did so - his gaze staying on Piett. I wasn't tired or anything, I just wanted to be close to him; something about him and the way he smelt was incredibly comforting.
Piett was speaking to us about.. something, I'm not really sure. I was too busy replaying that dream-like kiss in my mind to pay attention. The way it made me feel was unreal, my heart rate was picking up just by the thought of it and all I wanted was to do it again.
Even now I still felt like I was drunk off of his affection, and I could still feel the ghost of his light touch running up my back as his lips moved desirably with mine.
I couldn't wait to get alone with Josie so I could tell her all about it. I also had a few questions for her since when we found her and Piett walking out of an exhibit - her hair was a complete mess and her lipstick is still currently on Piett's jawline. I don't even think he knows it's there, or he does and is choosing to wear it like a badge of honor.
I lifted my head from Anakin's shoulder when I noticed the young waiter from across the room bringing our drinks over, "Here you go." He mumbled quietly as he avoided eye contact with everyone.
It's obvious that he's a bit on the introvert side which seems odd given his interactive job. I'm assuming he's new though, especially since I come here quite often and I've never seen him here before.
"Thank you Kevin," I smiled politely as I accepted my water from the shy brunette.
His green eyes looked up quickly and met mine, "You know my name?" He asked with surprise.
I chuckled with furrowed brows as I pointed to his name tag, "It's on display." Now that I'm able to look into his eyes, he does seem familiar, but I still couldn't quite place him. It's likely we shared a class together at some point.
He quickly recoiled when he realized his awkward mistake, "Oh, right. Sorry." He shook his head as he dropped his gaze back down and pulled out the little notepad from his apron, "Are you all ready?" He asked quietly
After we gave him our order, he took our menus and sped walked away, "What a weird guy." Piett mumbled before grabbing his beverage for a drink.
Anakin nodded in agreement with his friend and Josie tapped on the table to get my attention, "I'm pretty sure we go to school with him. He was the quiet guy that sat in-front of us in English freshman year."
Realization crossed my mind and my mouth fell slightly agape, "Oh my god you're right, didn't he have a crush on you?" I pointed to her furrowed brows.
"Wait, what?" Piett put himself into the conversation, but Josie and I ignored him as we continued on.
"Me?" She shook her head as she placed her hand on her chest, "No he was completely obsessed with you," She pointed and I saw Anakin's head snap up to look at me after nearly choking on his water, "Remember, he used to shyly ask you to borrow the same pencil everyday, and you told him he could just keep it. But he always insisted on giving it back to you, and then I told you that I think it's because he just wanted a reason to talk to you."
