It had been two full years since Nefarious' takeover of Corson V, and it seemed as though he wasn't stopping there. For that reason it seemed as though the responsibility of becoming free, went to the civillians of Corson V. In the Captiol, "Nefarious City", previously Megalopolis, trouble and war was brewing and well on the horizon. Robots and Organics alike had come together to bring about freedom to this troubled planet. They were all quite the characters, but the main leader ended up being none-other than Rivet's adoptive Brother: Layden. He was in charge of a few raids, and they were so well done, he got to dictate the Resistance. His word seemed to be hailed as law, and this, he hated. Which he made very clear...

"I will NOT be a dictator! I can't be the only one trusted to make decisions. And if I get imprisoned, then suddenly the Resistance is without leadership. No, no if we are going to survive we need to go into smaller groups, with group leaders, and those leaders can handle this. Not just me." Everyone knew what he was saying made sense. But so far, in their eyes he had been the only successful raider. Wether he liked it or not, he would have maintain his leadership status just long enough to train some of the others in his tactics. And the look everyone was giving him seemed to concur with that thought. Layden nodded in understanding. "For now then..." As the days went, he taught the Resistance how to be Resistance fighters, teaching tactics and with the help of the Zurkon family, this Resistance was now armed. But Layden knew that in order for this Resistance to last, they had to use their brains more than their weapons. So Layden brought in a tech innovator, with the codename "Phantom."

The Phantom was none other than Skidd McMarx. Skidd was already in hiding from day one unlike everyone else, since he was publicly using his fame to stop Nefarious' own propaganda machine from churning, which practically started that day. He's called himself the Phantom ever since. Despite his fame and being too busy looking cool for the teens, he was actually a more than halfway decent hacker, and jacker as it turned out he could easily steal ships. Layden called in a favor from Skidd, mentioning needing a cargo ship for supply runs. At first Skidd said no, heavily reluctant. But when Layden said his sister would be the pilot, Skidd came back with a changed mind, as well as a stolen cargo ship.

This was done to keep Rivet out of harms way, while also making her feel like she was doing something, and she was. She just wasn't fighting enemy troops. That made Layden plenty happy. He also knew it made Rivet happy to be included. She was still doing a dangerous job, and at 12 years old none-the-less. But she was out of the fighting, that's all that mattered. With Rivet out of the fighting, Skidd willing to teach black-ops level hacking, and Layden himself prepared to make leaders and groups of fighters out of these people, they got to work. It took a few months, limited resources, and alot of paitience and determination, but Layden and Skidd both felt that these new groups, and hand-picked leaders of said groups could function on their own. It was time to put that theory into practice. As to not expose the entire Resistance in one move, Layden, Skidd and two other group leaders planned for 3 groups to raid warehouses for supplies, and to disrupt supply movements for Nefarious.

The rest would have to send scouts on watch for the 3 raid groups. While Layden himself was leading the charge, he felt better that he wasn't supreme leader, and that he had equals in the Resistance to talk to. Phantom, Clatchky, MoyDoy and Captain Quantum. All had their own cells in the Resistance. Of course it wasn't called the Resistance by name at the time. The official in-group name was Corson V Liberation Front. With the current mission and leaders picked out, it was time for the raids. Layden's part was crucial, even he couldn't deny that. Blowing up a heavily gaurded convoy wasn't exactly anyone's speciality these days, but it seemed the Liberation Front would have to learn on it's feet.

Phantom had set up the camaras to be on a re-occuring loop so the chances of being spotted were lessened drastically. His hacking abilities were pretty remarkable for someone who was originally a poster boy for a sport. Layden guessed they had about 7 minutes before gaurds caught on to the deception, so he and Captain Quantum were quick about planting the explosives. The idea was destroy a supply convoy large enough to halt Nefarious' production of warbots for nearly a week. It's not an absolute game changer, but it would show the world that the Liberation Front has a chance of success. But if it failed it could easily sway the public from anger, to outright fear against Nefarious. If that happend then the Liberation Front wouldn't have a fighting chance at all. Layden couldn't help but think about what failure would mean for his adopted sister. She would probably be killed for affilliation alone... He thought. He parished the thought, and carried on with the mission.

Quantum was setting the last charge, his bulk figure nearly getting him caught twice. Once successful he gave Layden the thumps up, in which Layden took the detonator out of his pocket, signalling Quantum, and together they both jumped off the moving convoy. As if on que, the moment Layden hit his detonation trigger, the other raiding groups did the same. The explosions were deafening, liberating, and outright awesome at the same time. Layden and the group looked at what they had done, incredibly satisfied that they thumbed their opinion straight to Nefarious himself. Nefarious had seen the explosions from his tower, after chaotically demanding the ones responsible be found, caught and exterminated he looked out his viewing window again, none too pleased with the events that occured....
