"Does your head still hurt?"

"Yes" Meredith breathed heavily

"I'll go get you some pain meds" Derek kissed her forehead and quickly sat up to grab her meds before handing them to her

"Oh-" Meredith's strong hand seemed to be weaker than usual

"It's probably your headache. You made a nasty fall during your last seizure" He softly helped her take them in

"Head hurts bad" Meredith whined

"I know babe. It will be over soon" Derek kissed her forehead and noticed she had fallen asleep again as he heard soft knocks on their bedroom door

"Daddy? I'm scared" Grace whispered

"Come here honey" Derek opened his arm so Grace could climb in

"Mommy still asleep?" Grace asked as she climbed in

"Yes honey. Mommy had a small headache when she woke up. I'm sure she would like some cuddled" Derek gestured so she could slip in between both of her parents

"Kisses mommy" Grace giggled softly as she kissed Meredith's cheek before laying down

"Let's sleep a bit longer. Mommy and daddy are with you, no need to be scared" Derek softly kissed Grace's head and closed his eyes again

When Derek woke up a few hours later Grace was softly brushing her fingers over Meredith's cheek

"Hey honey, you're already awake?" Derek yawned

"Couldn't sleep" Grace gave him a big kiss "Poppy wants to go out" Grace giggled as she saw the dog pulling at the sheets

"I'll go let her outside but we have to let mommy sleep a bit longer" Derek said

"I'll come! We can make breakfast for mommy" Grace giggled

"That sounds like a very good plan" Derek smiled and grabbed Grace's hand

Derek led Poppy into the garden and prepared some quick breakfast for all three of them

"Daddy ready?" Grace asked impatiently

"Wait a minute Gracie. Just grabbing some orange juice so you and mommy get all the vitamins you need for the day" Derek winked

"Can I go back to mommy already?" Grace jumped

"Of course sweetie" Derek nodded and continued making breakfast. Once he was finished he walked to the door to let Poppy back in. The two of them walked towards the bedroom where Meredith and Grace were waiting

"Daddy, shh!" Grace whispered

"What's wrong?" Derek frowned

"Mommy's still sleeping" Grace rolled her eyes which made Derek chuckle

"Oh I'm sorry" He winked and handed her her breakfast

They noticed Poppy started to get a bit unsure of what she had to do

"She'll be up in a bit, poppy" Derek quietly said which seemed to calm the dog a bit

"Mommy's sleepy, poppy" Grace giggled softly

By the time Derek and Grace were finished Meredith started stirring

"Hmm" She groaned as she covered her eyes "Aww"

"Mer, what's up?" Derek frowned

"Lights.. Much light" She groaned

Derek stood up and closed the blinds more "Mer, I think you have a concussion, I wanna check you out" Derek said softly

"Hmm" Meredith nodded softly

"Let's take you in for a head CT. Just to be sure" Derek kissed her forehead and let her try to eat but she wasn't very hungry

Derek helped her into some sweats and lifted her into the wheelchair

"Let's go girls" Derek chuckled. They dropped off Grace at her school and drove to the hospital

"Poppy, close" Meredith said softly as Derek started wheeling her inside. Her left hand clutching the leash as tight as possible

Derek wheeled Meredith inside slowly and they got some stares. Meredith just ignored it as she held tighter onto Poppy's harness which gave her a very safe feeling while Derek wheeled her forward so she could get her head CT

Poppy wasn't too comfortable with leaving Meredith but Derek took the time to make sure Poppy would get a few treats

Once Meredith was done Derek had paged Amelia to take a look

"Hi Derek, Hi Mer" She smiled "Hmm.. Looks like you have a concussion, Mer" Amelia said

"T-Thought so" Meredith nodded softly as she was rubbing her hands in Poppy's furr

"Let's go home so you can rest. I'll call Alex to ask if he can stop for some groceries and goes to get Grace" Derek softly said

"We go? We can go to store?" Meredith asked

"Are you sure, because you have a headache?" Derek asked

"C-Collect?"

"Collect and go?" Derek guessed and smiled as Meredith nodded

"Can do. Let's order now so we can just stop and go to grab it" Derek smiled

"And go get Gracie. Then home" Meredith softly smiled

"Perfect" Derek smiled

"Richard said he needed to talk to you soon. It's about the lawsuit" Amelia softly told Derek

"I'll call him later today. Need to get my three ladies home" He said softly

"Poppy, close" Meredith repeated and grabbed her harness before saying goodbye to Amelia

"Bye Mer, bye Poppy! See you!" She smiled as her brother started pushing her sister in law
