Evelyn:
"Please Ransom! Don't do this! Please!" I cry, tears pooling at my eyes.
"Why should I listen to you?" Ransom sneers.
"Because you love me." My voice is suddenly small.
"Ha!" Ransom throws his head back, pretending to laugh. "That has to be a joke."
I gulp and crease my brows. "B-But you do. You do love me?" I ask like a question.
Ransom scoffs, shaking his head, like he is shrugging off the topic.
There's a moment of silence and then Ransom speaks up. "I have never loved you." he says under his breath.
"Don't say that!" I gasp, gaping at Ransom.
"But it's true...I don't love you." Ransom raises his brows, as well as his voice.
"You...You're lying! You kept saying to me that you think I am attractive and the most beautiful woman ever!" I shout urgently.
Ransom puffs. "I've never thought of you to be attractive or beautiful." he almost snarls.
"But you told me –"
"I've never thought of you to be an attractive woman, Evelyn! You are anything but attractive!" Ransom roars, startling me. "And you were just a waste of my time!"
I take a step backward, nearly tripping over the carpet. "B-But you said that our eyes match. You always wanted me around. Ransom, you said that you love me more than I will ever know!" I scream in utter misery.
Ransom leans back against the wall, right next to the front door. He crosses his arms and he creases his brows together. "Why would I love you? You are nothing but a thorn at my side. How could I have ever loved you?" he sneers.
I start to breathe quicker and my heart beats faster. "You...You don't mean that." I shake my head in disapproval. "I know you don't mean those words."
Ransom scrunches his face and then bursts out into a cackling laughter. "Of cause I meant those words silly! Why would I ever love you? You, a girl who wants to 'cuddle' with her boyfriend, and who wants to just 'make out'? Who does that anyway?"
I take another step back, but my legs are starting to shake. "Ransom..." I whisper.
"What?" he drawls, sounding annoyed.
"You told me that you love me. You said that you will never leave me!"
"Well, I lied, okay? I don't love you and I have to disagree with you on that last part, because I want you to leave. Right now." he nudges his head toward the front door.
I look down, pouting. "But you said you love me." I say in a monotone.
There is a brief pause before I hear Ransom whisper. "Who could ever love you? You're so ugly, and with all those bite marks, you look disgusting."
"But you gave me these bite marks!" I lift my head, raising my voice.
"Well it was probably because I was trying to make you more attractive, but clearly, it just made you look even more revolting." Ransom sticks out his tongue.
"Stop that Ransom!" I stomp my foot, "Stop telling me that I am ugly!" I cry, bursting into tears.
"But...you are. You are so horrible to look at. I don't know why I ever dated you." Ransom pulls his face with such disgust.
