Patrick wakes up the next morning having had a terrible dream. He then shakes his head saying "Phew, that was just a dream. That was only what happened to me yesterday." He then gets out of his bed and gets hit by a car. Turns out that what he had was actually just a premonition and he just walked out of the ice cream shop in the middle of the highway. He then gets flattened 75 years into the future.
