OMEGAVERSE

Ano nga ba ang omegaverse?
Originating in the west as a parody of sci-fi, the omegaverse is a special setting in BL. The idea came from love stories between werewolves and human, where werewolf characters behave based on the idea of Alpha, Beta and Omega wolves. Over time, this idea extended to encompass satirical elements of themes such as class hierarchy, patriarchy, and racial discrimination. As each writer interprets the omegaverse differently, the number of different versions is virtually countless. Since at this point it's unclear who really came up with the idea, there isn't a setting thought of as 'correct'. This degree of freedom offered to writers is part of what makes the omegaverse so appealing.

A world in which anyone can get pregnant (kahit lalaki!)
Once upon a time, Humans were divided into two sexes: men and women. However, on the brink of a sudden population decline, the human race evolved. In this new world, all humans can give birth, and differences between male and female refes only to differences in physical biology. For male forms, an organ conncects the uterus with the anus, and for the female forms, stimulation causes the clitoris to become erect as a pseudopenis, with the capacity to ejaculate.

The difference between Alpha, Beta, and Omega.

ALPHA
- Males have a "knot".
- They have random heats/rut.
- The amount of semen during ejaculation is the highest among the three classes.
- They carry pheromones that differentiate them by class.
- Able to go into heat/rut, where they can ejaculate for 20-30 minutes continuously.
- 100% insemination rate when in heat/rut.
- Ejaculates the most semen.

BETA
- Does not go into Heat.
- Aroused by an omega in heat, but is able to keep in control.

OMEGA
- Has Heat.
- Heat happens for seven days every month.
- Rare chance of becoming pregnant outside of Heat.
- Has sex pheromones.

2 are Alphas - is the only one where males have 'knots' and have a high chance of reproduction with omegas. Aside from that, they also have a high sperm count. Al though there is no other difference than in their pheromones, in society, they stand above the betas and omegas.

7 are Betas - they make up the majority of the population, and are basically used by the alpha. But in recent years, due to their hard work they have been able to marry alphas, so have sometimes reached the same ranks as alphas.

1 is an Omega - they experience heat, and due to their lack of sperm productivity, they hold a lower position than the alpha and beta. Before the invention of suppressors, they would stay at home and were not allowed to work outside.
