She waited for an hour before going to knock on Camilo's door. She waited for a bit after knocking on the door.
Camilo soon answered. "¿Sí, mi sobrina?"
"Tío Camilo, can I talk to you about something?" She asked.
He nodded and opened the door up for her. "Of course."
Sofia stepped into the room. "Gracias."
He nodded and sat down on his bed. "What do you need?"
Sofia sat down next to him. "I had a... peculiar... dream last night..." She started.
He nodded silently and encouragingly.
"It was about... Mirabel..." Sofia continued.
He tensed up and looked down. "Oh..."
"Wait, but hear me out. I need answers." Sofia said.
"About?"
Sofia explained her dream to Camilo in detail. He simply listened without saying anything and nodding.
"I need to know. Did that actually happen?" Sofia finished, asking the biggest question that's been on her mind.
He nodded.
Sofia's eyes widened. "Seriously?" She paused. "I had this dream for a reason. I just don't know what that reason is yet."
He sighed. "Before you, I was considered the smart one."
"You were?" Sofia questioned.
He nodded. "But I could never figure out one thing."
Sofia tilted her head curiously.
"Why she didn't like me," he mumbled.
"I... am not sure... Maybe there's something we're missing. There's gotta be!" Sofia said.
He sighed and shrugged.
"Hey, don't give me that! We'll figure it out!" Sofia assured her uncle.
"She's gone..."
"That doesn't mean we should give up on this mystery! I had that dream for a reason! I know there has to be a reason!" Sofia insisted.
"She stopped wanting to hang around me."
"I know that, but maybe this was just the first of many dreams! Maybe the dreams will give me more answers!"
"But what if you don't have them anymore? What if it's just a one time thing?"
"Something is telling me that this was not just a one time thing, Tío Camilo." Sofia said.
He smiled softly and ruffled her head.
"Does this mean you'll help me look for answers?" She asked excitedly.
He nodded and poked her stomach. "Follow your gut."
"Yes!" She hugged him. "Gracias, Tío Camilo!"
He hugged back, kissing her forehead. "De nada."
"All right, where do we start though?" Sofia questioned, letting go of her tío and pacing back and forth, stroking her chin, which is something she does when she's thinking.
He thought then shrugged.
Sofia stopped pacing and gasped, "Mamá! She hears everything about everything! Surely, she knows something!"
