TW: mentions of death and murder
———————————————————————
"Where to first?" Julia questioned.
"I'm not sure. I've already questioned some people around town, but not many." Sofia explained.
"Maybe we should get Camilo? He seems to be helpful." Julia suggested.
"Sí, Tío Camilo always seems to want to help out on my investigations and interrogations!" Sofia said enthusiastically.
"Let's go ask him then." Julia said.
"Sí." Sofia nodded then the two went to find Camilo.
He was playing with Ana in the nursery. Sofia didn't want to just barge in there, so she did her signature rhythmic knock on the door.
"Come in!" Camilo called.
Sofia opened the door. "Hola, Tío Camilo!"
"Hola." Camilo greeted his niece.
"We were wondering if you wanted to join us on our investigation today?" Sofia asked.
"Hmm. I don't know..." Camilo said.
"¿Por favor, Tío Camilo?" Sofia asked.
He hummed then nodded. "Alright."
"Yes!" Sofia exclaimed excitedly.
He smiled and picked Ana up.
"Okay, let's get started!" Sofia said excitedly.
"Sounds great." Camilo said.
"Tío Camilo, do you have any ideas where we can start today?" Sofia asked.
"Hmm. The park?" Camilo suggested.
"Ooo, yeah, there are people at the park! We can ask around!" Sofia said.
Camilo nodded. "Yep."
Sofia and her small investigation group, being only Julia and Camilo, as Camilo had left Ana at the house under the supervision of his sister, made their way to the park.
It was a beautiful day out. Sofia looked around the park upon arriving there. She was trying to decide who the first person she should question was.
The first person was a young lady, a little older than Camilo.
"Excuse me?" Sofia asked to grab the lady's attention.
She turned around. "Yeah?"
"We were just wondering if you know anything about the murder of Mirabel Madrigal that took place twenty years ago?" Sofia questioned.
"I do not." The lady shook her head.
"Oh, okay. Thanks, anyway!" Sofia waved as she walked away from the lady. "Tío Camilo, do you recognize anyone here who might know something?" She turned to look at her tío.
Camilo looked around. "Hmm. I think I see Nico. He's an old friend, but we did have to stop hanging out."
"What do you mean? You HAD to stop hanging out with him?" Sofia looked at her uncle curiously.
Camilo nodded. "His brother and I got into an argument and Rico demanded I stopped hanging out with his family."
"Ah... Interesting..." Sofia pondered that for a moment. "Then, Nico is definitely worth interrogating."
