A.N. This is the finale of this book! Sorry it took so long to get this up, but here it is! I hope you all enjoyed this book! Sorry this chapter is so short, we just needed a way to wrap up the story.

This was written alongside my friend PanFluidMe.

Dinner came by sooner than expected, and Sofia ran down the stairs more excitedly than usual, ready to tell her family the big news. Everyone was getting ready to eat.

Sofia sat down in her normal spot, beaming with pure excitement. Some of her cousins noticed this and gave her strange looks.

"Something goin' on with you?" Alicia asked her older sister.

"I'm glad you asked, Alicia!" Sofia said to her little sister, catching the attention of everyone at the table.

"And what is it?" Alicia questioned.

"Okay, okay! Drum roll, please!" Sofia did a drum roll with her hands on the table briefly, before continuing, "we cracked the case!"

"The case?" Elena asked.

"We caught the man who murdered Mirabel!" Sofia explained further.

"That's great!" Alicia said.

"Really? Who was it?" Mateo questioned.

"Rico Rodríguez." Sofia answered.

"Rico," Camilo repeated.

"Oh, yeah, that makes sense." Dolores said. "He always hated our family."

"Awful person, really. His brother, though, was always super nice." Dolores said.

Camilo nodded quickly. "He was."

"Yeah, Nico actually ratted him out." Sofia laughed.

"That sounds like him." Isabela added.

Dinner went by quickly and Sofia made her way back up to her room, feeling accomplished. It felt like she could finally just relax. She finally felt free of the burden of searching.

She looked at the old family photo again. They all looked so happy.

Sofia smiled at the picture and pulled out Mirabel's old journal. She flipped to the blank pages, and started to write her own entry.

'Hola. This is Sofia. I am Mirabel's first cousin, once removed. Today, I solved one of the biggest mysteries known to la familia Madrigal. What happened to Mirabel Madrigal? Answer: She was murdered by someone who had hated the Madrigal family since he was a kid. Rico Rodríguez. Rico's inimical actions tore this family apart, and I couldn't let him get away with it. Especially considering I've always felt this sort of connection, for lack of a better word, to my deceased first cousin once removed. I'm going to be writing my own entries in this journal now, as if keeping Mirabel's memory alive, in a way. That's all for now. I'll update soon. Adiós.'

Sofia closed the journal and put it away. She took another brief look at the family picture and smiled, before pulling out a book, and reading it, finally reaching inner peace.
