My Light In The Dark

Part 16

                               Y/N'S (POV)

It was still night and everyone was still at the bonfire.

When suddenly I was stopped in my tracks the screeching sound from the monsters came.. terror ripped through my body fearing the monsters were coming after me, Tommy, Newt, Minho, Mitch and the rest of the gladers..

I suddenly felt so overwhelmed from the terror of the screeching coming from the monsters that I ran to the only place I felt in the glade was safe.. the treehouse..

              Thomas's (POV)

When I heard the grievers screeching I looked around for (y/n) she wasn't anywhere near the bonfire.. I looked at Mitch he had a worried look on his face "why was he worrying about (y/n)? When he didn't even know her?" I asked myself..

I then realized where exactly she was hiding  just like the first time when she arrived in the glade and came into the fighting circle punched Gally and ran because of his furry..

"She's at the treehouse." I said just loud enough for Mitch to hear me..

"What?" He asked..

"(Y/N) is at the treehouse.." I told Mitch again as we did a slow jog towards the treehouse..

"How do you know she's up there?" Mitch looked at me confused and asked looking up the ladder.

I looked at Mitch and said "It was the first night she arrived and we had a bonfire just like this one. Gally and I were fighting in the circle he was getting the upper hand and suddenly before I knew what was happening next Gally was on the ground and I look over to see (y/n) her small fist in a ball and Gally's nose just slightly broke a little more.."

Mitch stops in his tracks and responds "She broke Gally's nose?"

I looked at him and said "Yeah for a little girl she packs a shuck of punch when she's protecting someone."

After Gally became enraged (y/n) ran to the treehouse scared.

Mitch processed everything that Thomas had just told him.. and "that's why (y/n) likes the treehouse?" Mitch asked.

"Yes. It makes her feel safe." Thomas responded.

Thomas and Mitch came to a stop at the bottom of the ladder that goes up to the treehouse..

Thomas goes up the treehouse and sees her in the corner after telling her it's safe he brings her down.. 

It was still nightfall in the glade.

(Y/n) was asleep in seconds possible exhausted from running and the feeling of terror she had earlier..

                          Y/N'S (POV)
It was hours later when I woke up..

To see it was morning in the glade.
I got up got dressed in a purple faded shirt, blue jeans and short brown boots.

I didn't see Tommy or Mitch anywhere..

Deciding it was best I went to go get some breakfast and see if Frypan had seen the boys this morning..

Frypan said he hadn't seen the Mitch or Tommy this morning..

He gave me cereal, a chocolate muffin, and orange juice..

She ate the cereal and drank a little of my orange juice and saved the chocolate muffin for lunch..

She entered the glade and looked around when she saw Tommy and Minho getting ready to enter the glade..

She jogged over to them and saw they weren't alone Mitch was them..
"What you doing here?" She asked.

They all turn to see (y/n).

Tommy went over to (y/n) and responded "Mitch is going to run the maze with us today."

This shocked (y/n) she only thought two gladers were supposed to run not three?

She said goodbye to Tommy, Minho, and Mitch. Told them to be safe.

Then she stood at the entrance and watched as they disappeared into the maze.
