My Light In The Dark

Part 20

                     Y/N'S (POV)

I was awake. That's all I knew when my eyes opened. But if I just woke up, was that.. all a dream the maze, the lady, getting shocked, feeling pain, the dog.. wait where was the dog? (Y/N) thought to herself.

A loud noise brought you out of your thoughts.
Yelling sounding awfully like arguing, it was making it's way towards me. I faked sleep just at the right moment.

"WHERE IS SHE?" Gally yelled crashing into the medjack hut.

"Gally what the hell you're not supposed to be here-" Clint and Jeff both said stund by seeing the builder and his buddies in the the medjack hut.

"I said WHERE IS SHE? Little traitor! Can't hide behind Thomas anymore can you? Went into the maze broke the number one rule just like Thomas."

(Y/N) laid under the blanket when she heard a strong crack and a crunch come from the direction of Gally's voice.

What was going on? If you could only peek out from under the blanket just for a second.

A hand yanked the blanket back down.
You couldn't risk another peek to find out who it was but they did give you a quick "shh" with a voice you'd recognize anywhere..

Newt.

Of course he was here.
Anytime something went down he was there.

"Time to go." Gally growled and yanked (Y/N) to her feet.

A few minutes later you were in the council hall you looked around and saw Mitch, Minho, Newt, Tommy, and Gally all in the council hall..

Sweat dripped down your back as you sat in front of everyone, their judging eyes glued to you. And everytime Gally spoke it only got worse..

"Look at it." he spat. "Doesn't even look sorry. Barges into our home, messing up our lives, and then runs into the Maze like a selfish little shank it's practically a miniature version of Thomas."

"It's a menace and it has to be stopped."

There was a gasp, and then more sounds of what (Y/N) could only assume was fist crunching bone as Thomas charged Gally.

"Call her an IT one more time." he panted. "I dare you."

Even though (Y/N) was supposed to be sitting and not aloud to move she found herself by Tommy's side grabbing his arm telling him "calm down Tommy he's not worth being banished please Tommy."

Thomas and Gally were pulled apart by Newt and Mitch.

(Y/N) went over and sat on Thomas's lap waiting for the punishment.. scared of the outcome..

Alright let's settle down we have to actually accomplish something here. Newt said. Any suggestions on (Y/N'S) punishment?

Gally stood wiping more blood from his face as a dark gleam filled his eyes.
"I say we banish her." Another wave of noise washed through the council hall whether it was in support or objection of Gally's suggestion I wasn't sure all I knew is I was scared I gripped Tommy's shirt tight.

"Think about it." he went on, she's worse than Thomas. Look at what she's done to him. I look at her the wrong way and little Tommy boy's gonna get me. I hurt Thomas and it's the same way.. at Gally calling me that word again I felt Tommy go to stand to attack again but I even feel the arm on his shoulder it's Mitch giving him a look that says calm down.

"She's a menace and she's got to go."

Gally got up from his seat and grabbed (Y/N'S) wrist and yanking her away from the boys.

Earning (Y/N) a small shriek then a yell of pain from (Y/N) as Gally looked toward the gladers no one dared move. Mitch, Tommy, Minho, and Newt we're all there but not one of them moved.. and that's when (Y/N) realized not what but who saved her from Gally.

The dog she met when she was in the maze.

(Y/N) looked at the dog really well this time it was a German Shepherd, and it's fur looked like the color of Ash from a fire with a little black and grey mixed.. with stunning blue eyes..

The dog let out a low growl.. Gally released (Y/N). Newt standing there shocked a dog in the glade.

(Y/N) looked at the dog and called Asher.

Newt got the council back to ordered and everyone agreed (Y/N'S) punishment would be just like Thomas one night in the pit.

(Y/N) was terrified of the dark.. she didn't want to be alone.. she knew Tommy couldn't be with her. Because of the glade rules..

Newt dismissed the council meeting after everyone agreed on (Y/N'S) punishment.

Newt took her to get dinner. Asher right on her heels.

Tommy, Mitch, and Minho were already at the table..

She had soup, and juice for dinner. Asher also ate right next her.

Then came the time (Y/N) was dreading going to the slammer..

Once she was in the slammer and it turned dark (Y/N) started panicking she didn't like the dark.. she didn't like being alone..

(Y/N) then heard a twig snap and her panic rose thinking it was Gally or his builder buddies coming after her..

Then I heard a voice his voice"(Y/N)?"

(Y/N) walked up to the bars of the slammer and called out "Tommy?" Suddenly feeling her head spinning but she wasn't sure why..

Thomas appeared in the light of the lamp that was near the slammer.

"(Y/N) Are you ok?" He asked a slight panic on appearing on his face.

(Y/N) looked at Thomas and said "No Tommy I'm afraid of the dark.
Please Tommy Stay please."

                 Thomas's (POV)

I went over to the slammer's door tried to open it but it wouldn't budge..

I looked around the glade as it was getting dark and found Minho. I yelled at him "Minho come over here. Help me with getting the slammer's door open."

Minho was at the slammer's door in seconds Minho took one look at (Y/N) and realized something was wrong.. He looked at me and asked "What can I do to help?"

I looked at him and replied "Get me inside there. She's freaking out."

Minho opened the slammer door and I jumping down into the slammer getting (Y/N) into my arms.

The next thing I knew I felt something soft and warm being tossed in the slammer. Minho had thrown a blanket to us saying "Here this should help keep the little greenbean warm."

I wrapped (Y/N) up in the blanket trying to keep her warm with my body heat.

Newt came to the slammer to get (Y/N) out.. but was surprised when he found me in the slammer as well.

"Tommy what the bloody hell are you doing?" Newt asked.

I carefully got out with (Y/N) in my arms and explained what happened with her and her fear of the dark..

Newt took a deep breath and asked"Is she ok?"

I nodded placing (Y/N) in my hammock and covering her with the blanket Minho gave me also making sure she had Sammy her teddy bear..

Then as Newt and I left I whispered to (Y/N) "Goodnight Snowflake."

             
                Thomas's (POV)

I didn't know what the connection was between Me and (Y/N)..

I wish I could figure it out how we are connected..

I know one thing I will protect her even if it means feeling the pain for her.
