My Light In The Dark

Part 17

               Thomas's (POV)

We enter the maze make a right then left then another right.. when suddenly Minho, Mitch, and I come face to face with a griever..

I've seen one before even killed one and survived a night in this SHUCK maze..

For some reason this time was different.

Before I knew what had happened I felt a stinging pain going through my body.. then my world went black..

                 Y/N'S (POV)

I was sitting in the glade with Newt making flower bracelets.

One for Minho with blue flowers, another for Mitch with yellow flowers,
another for Tommy with purple flowers,
Newt walked over to (y/n).
"What are you making?" Newt asked her.

I'm making flower bracelets for Tommy, Minho, and Mitch.. see?

Newt looked at the flower bracelets already made.. then asked (y/n) "Do I get a flower bracelet?"

(Y/N) looked and said "Yes." And started making Newt's flower bracelet. Newt's flower bracelet had orange flowers..

                Thomas's (POV)

The pain I had was intense.. unlike anything I've felt.. I was still unsure of what happened did I get stung by a griever or get hit by the blades or worse both?

All I knew is I was in so much pain all I saw was black..

I was just hoping (y/n) wasn't feeling any of what had happened to me..

We are connected somehow..

                   Y/N'S (POV)

(Y/N) got done with making the flower bracelets. When suddenly she grabbed her leg in pain her head was throbbing as well but she couldn't tell why..

Newt was by side in seconds.

"(Y/N) what's wrong?" He asked.

(Y/N) glances over to the maze door that the boys had entered roughly an hour earlier.. and saw Mitch and Minho carrying what looked like to be Tommy passed out..

(Y/N) tries to get over to Minho but my body felt to weak..

(Y/N) suddenly saw darkness but she felt strong arms carrying her to the med hut.

It was hours before (Y/N) woke up but it felt like days.. she woke up with a jolt a soft hand was pressed against her shoulder. (Y/N) looked to see who was in the med hut with her and saw Mitch.

"Hey. Take it easy snowflake." He said.

There's that nickname he used for her why did he seem slightly familiar.

"Where's Tommy?" (Y/N) asked.

"He's right outside." Mitch said.

The door of the med hut opened Minho and Newt walked in. (Y/N) watched waiting for Tommy to come through the door..

After all Mitch said he was right outside.

Then she saw him Tommy he was bruised and a little bloody but he was alive..

(Y/N) went to get up from the bed but Thomas was by her side in a flash.

She really looked at him this time saw he had a deep cut on his right arm, his right leg and bruises all over his face and body.

(Y/N) looked at Minho slight fury in her little eyes "What happened out in the maze?"

Tommy looked at (Y/N) and replied "It all happened so fast.."

"Yeah." Minho responded "I don't know how we are alive.."

"WHAT HAPPENED?" (Y/N) yelled..

"We made our way into the maze when suddenly we were cornered by two grievers. We ran opposite corridors of the maze the grievers chasing us.. we managed to lose them but.. Thomas stopped thinking of what happened next not wanting to continue..

Minho picked up the story from here:

                  Minho's (POV)

"We thought we lost the grievers when in reality they were leading us into a trap.. Mitch and I had a griever almost on edge of falling off one of the maze corridors. When I heard Thomas's screams from a few feet away.."

As soon the griever that was chasing us was gone we turned and ran in the opposite direction toward Thomas and found him with the stinger in his leg and the huge cut on his arm..

So I grabbed the grief serum I carry with me in my runner's pack and gave him a shot.. next thing we knew he passed out from the pain as we were bringing him back to the glade.. and then we ended up here in the med jack hut.

                  Y/N'S (POV)

I look around still trying to process what Tommy said "he was stung by a griever by one of those monsters."

Before I know what's going on I get a shooting pain in my head and a women's voice saying "They can't find out how they are connected. It could ruin everything wicked has tried to do to save them."

Just before the memory fades something else comes "A women she has something in her hand.. my pulse quickens when I realize it's a needle.. NO! I shout but no one can hear me.. Tommy help me the bad people they have me.. TOMMY HELP! I scream at the top of my lungs."

I'm suddenly brought back to the glade.

If that was a memory from my past I need to tell Tommy.

I get up from my bed and run out of the med jack hut toward the treehouse Tommy and Mitch are hot on my heels.

I'm up the ladder in seconds.. both boys are the top just after me.

Tommy comes over to me and sees that I'm shaking with fear. He hugs me close and says "Hey don't worry. I'm ok. Minho says I'm off running for a few days.. If that's why you are scared you don't need to worry."

I looked at Tommy and shook my head and replied "That's not why I'm scared."

I looked at Tommy and Mitch that's when I told them both about the vision I had with the women in the jacket with the letters WCKD and how she said we can't find out how we are connected. That it could ruin everything. And the needle and realizing from the memory that it was the bad people.

Mitch looks me and Tommy "What does (Y/N) mean by bad people?"

Thomas responds to Mitch "I wish I knew.
