My Light In The Dark

Part 9

It was absolute cautious in the glade.

Gladers running all about some where grabbing short knives, others had spears and a few had torches..

Everyone's faces were mixed terror, fear, bravery, and the look that they are  ready to FIGHT against the monsters...

Thomas looked at Minho and he said "Where are the Maps?" Minho told him "The maps are safe."

Newt took charge told Minho to get the maps then meet him and Thomas in the council hall..

Minho took off running to the map room...

Thomas and Newt took off running toward the council hall..

Y/n stood there wondering what could she do to protect Tommy and the rest of the gladers they were like her family..

Y/n was wondering How can she help while the monsters are out there?

Y/n was scared no terrified of the monsters..

She decided to go with Minho and help him with the maps..

Minho's POV:

I ran as fast as I could to the map room.

Once I got there I realized there were a lot more maps then expected and I was going to need help carrying all of them.

I suddenly hear a noise and turn to see y/n standing in the doorway of the map room..

"What are you doing here little green bean?" I ask her..

She looks at me just a little out of breath and says "I'm here to help you with the maps."

I chuckle.. she and Thomas are so similar..   Alright let's go..

We grab the maps and when we are done it only takes two trips from the council hall to the map room to get all the maps to safety..

Suddenly I hear y/n yell "Minho! Look at the map room.."

I am at her side in a second and see what she means the map room is on FIRE!!

And I see shadow running away from the map room..

I try to run after them but stop when I hear a scream I turn to see y/n near the map room and it started to fall right towards y/n..

Y/n run.. get out of the way.. I yelled..

She looked at me scared "I can't my ankle is stuck."

Thomas POV:

I felt the fear. It felt like I couldn't move my ankle for what reason I wasn't sure..

Then I remembered y/n wasn't with me and Newt..

So that means she has to be with Minho..

Y/n POV:

My ankle was stuck.. I heard a griever somewhere in the woods it sounded like it was getting closer...

Suddenly I see it the griever the monster. I'm terrified I want to run but my ankle is still stuck..

The monster lunges at y/n I close my eyes waiting for the impact but nothing..

I open my eyes and see Thomas..

"Tommy!" I yell. He looks at me happy to see I'm not hurt..

Thomas gets my ankle free.

The griever ran in the opposite direction.

I look at Tommy and ask him"Where's Minho?
