3rd Person's POV (Narrator)

Lia paused from eating, putting her utensils down as she acted like she is just wiping her face clean with a tissue. She does not recognize these two faces in the university as she quickly take a look on the two.

Why would they address her that way?

That is what she thought in mind. In addition to that, even though that the couple still had that youthful glow, they seemed to be nowhere within age group that Alexa is teaching. She did not want to sound judgmental, but this is her hunch about these two.

Lia then diverted her gaze on her best friend, Alexa. She was visibly taken aback by the presence of the couple. It makes sense now...

Alexa was still stunned, not knowing how to react upon seeing Maurice's expression earlier. Too bad, she was unable to comprehend what it meant before it went away.

Maurice met eyes with Lia for a brief moment. That is when Alexa managed to get herself together.

"Indeed, it is such a coincidence." Alexa has spoken up, clearing her throat afterwards. She glanced at Lia before looking at the two, forcing a smile at them. It can appear convincing enough to Alessandro and Maurice, but definitely not to Lia.

"It is nice seeing the two of you getting along though." With that regard that Alexa gave to the two and the subtle glance that Alexa did to check where was the unfamiliar man's arm was, Lia knew that these are Alexa's clients. It is a huge possibility that this woman standing before them is the client whom Alexa is attracted with.

Lia leaned back, recognizing the tension wrapping between the three, especially between Alexa and Maurice.

Silence took over the four of them for a moment until Alessandro has spoken up to break it.

"Well... it became possible because of you, Miss Rivera." He said with a wide smile on his lips, glancing at Maurice lovingly. Alexa just forced another smile in response.

"Aside from the fact that it was my job to do so..." Alexa paused for a moment, trying to find for the right words to say without breaking down anytime soon because of this sight. Well, yes, she has been used seeing these two together, but not like this.

"I am truly happy to be a part of making the things work between the two of you." She continued. Lia nearly scoffed at the statement, but it is a good thing that she was able to hold it back.

My best friend is such a masochist. That is what Lia had in her mind.

"Enough of Maurice and I... it is more unprecedented to see you going out with someone." Alessandro managed to segue, wiggling his eyebrows. He then glanced at Lia, implying to Alexa whom he was referring to. Before Alexa can even open her mouth in an attempt to clear things out between her and Lia, Lia has already spoken up.
