(Dipper pov)

Groaning slightly I slowly open my eyes feeling myself moving. It takes me a minute to realize that it isn't me moving, it's Bill and that I'm on his back again. I also realize that my shirt is gone and bandages are wrapped tightly around my whole abdomen and covering my back.

"Morning sunshine." Bill says as I tiredly rub my eyes.

"Where are we? What happened?"

"We are currently somewhere in Nevada. What is the last thing you remember?"

"We got to the roof, my doctor had tried to kill me twice during the fire. You held onto me and you had us purposly fall off the roof."

I smack him upside the head. "Ow! What the fuck man?"

"That was for scaring me. I thought we were going to die."

"I'm a demon, I can't die."

"Fine then, smartass, I thought that I was going to die."

"Please. What kind of demon would I be if I didn't have a way to keep us safe after falling off a roof."

"So how did we survive that?"

"I simply put a forcefield around us so we handed safely on the ground but you." He starts laughing safely.

"What is it? What's so funny?"

"Once on the ground, you stood up and then you tripped over your own two feet and got yourself knocked out when your head hit the ground. I ended up carrying you on my back for the last 5 days."

"Wait, 5 days?! I was knocked out for 5 whole days?"

"Yeah, and I think we should be about halfway through Nevada by now. So about 5 more days and we will be in Colorado."

"Where is my shirt?"

"Oh you suffered some burns in the fire so I took it off of you to treat your wounds. I saw that the shirt was burnt so I got rid of it. Once we come to a store we can grab you some new clothes."

"With what money?"

"You would be surprised how generous people are when you tell them that you're only 19 and homeless."

"You scammed people."

"It isn't really a scam if it's true. I mean, I look 19 at least and as for now we are homeless."

"Any reason we're just walking on the side of the road?"

"It's easier then walking through the wilderness." He half jokes.

"Smartass."

"You know it. So now that you're awake, you good to walk?"

"I mean technically I have the ability to walk just fine. But I kind of like having you carry me around like this. It makes me feel special."

"Well I don't mind carrying you for a while longer. You are extremely light so it isn't hard at all and you deserve to feel special. Because you are special."

"Not really........I'm not like you. You can do so many cool things and have kept me safe for months. You even set a building on fire just to try and get me back again. You saved me. And you chose to carry me for 5 whole days."

"Well you don't need to be like me to be special. You're special enough just being the way that you are."

He sets me on my feet as we near a town. He takes his jacket off putting it on me instead zipping it up as he takes me by the hand and leads me to a Goodwill store.

"Why are we here, Bill?"

"Well this is the one place where no one will notice clothes going missing." He pulls some clothes off the hangars putting them in my arms.

"Wait, we're just stealing these? Are you serious?"

"Dipper, we don't have a choice. You need clothes and shoes." Going to a shoe aisle he picks up a pair of sneakers. "We are on the run again with no money. We don't have the time to be picky about how we do things anymore."

"But-"

"Pinetree." He tightly grips my shoulders. "Do you trust me?"

"Of course."

"Then trust that I know what I'm doing and that everything will be okay."

He puts his arm around my shoulders leading me to the changing rooms. He comes into one with me.

I hand him his jacket back as he helps me change into the clothes he had handed me. Once dressed I look at myself in the full length body mirror. It was a black shirt with a white one eyed triangle on it and red flannel along with a pair of ripped blue jeans and black converses.

"Looks perfect except for one thing." Bill takes my wrist slipping on a black leather bracelet. Looking at it, I see golden triangles are stitched into it.

"Did you make this by yourself?"

"Of course I did." He hugs me from behind kissing me on the cheek. "Only the best for you, Pinetree." He lets go of me as he takes the tags off of the clothes.

"Where are we going to live?"

"Well there is this one motel that doesn't need payment until checkout. Figured we can find a room there for the night and rush out before we have to pay for the room."

"I don't like all of this lying. I was lied to for 7 long years by people that were supposed to help me."

"I know. Trust me, it won't be forever. Just until we find someplace where you want to stay for good. Come on."

Taking my hand he leads me out of the room and to the motel he was talking about. We go inside the office where a man is reading a newspaper behind the counter. He looks up seeing us standing there.

"Can I help you two?"

Bill steps up to the counter as I hang back. "Yeah, we need a room just for the night."

The manager hands Bill a form that he signs. "Checkout is 8 AM sharp. $40 checkout fee. You so much as one minute late then you will have to pay for two nights."

"Understood." He gets the key from the manager before taking my hand and leads me to the room, locking the door behind us and flicking the light on.

Bill sets the keys on a nearby end table before he makes me turn to him and gently tilts my head up to look at him. He says nothing, just softly smiling.

"Bill? What is it?"

"Nothing. I just can't get enough of your cute face. I just want to eat it all up." He kisses all over my cheek making me laugh slightly before he softly kisses my lips.

I gently hold his face in my hands as I kiss him back. He picks me up laying me on the bed and climbs on top of me, not once do either of us break from the kiss.

He only pulls away when we both hear a knock at the door.
