Chapter 5: Letters

~~~~In the Chaos Dimension again~~~~~~

"Shadow look we got mail!" Rouge waved the nice looking letter as she walked into their bunker.

Their family doesn't write to them much so letters are indeed rare.

"Which one of us is it for?" Shadow hopped off his bed.

Rouge looked at the envelope in awe.
"Oh It's for the both of us." Her smile then disappeared as she squinted her eyes. "From the Sol and Darkmire Kingdom! Here Shadow you read this." Rouge tossed the letter on his bed.

"No, you grabbed the letter. You read it."

"But it's from Blaze and Perci! I don't know what it could be."

Shadow glared at Rouge then glanced to the letter.
He doesn't really want to open it either. What if there is an issue? Well Perci IS like blood to him.
Then their is Blaze..

"Fine." Shadow snatched the letter and froze at the embroiled design of Blaze's Palace. Before he could think of anything else he tore the envelope open and whipped out the Letter.

Dear Shadow and Rouge
How have you two been? I hope this letter gets to you two in a timely manner. There will be a Ball in Darkmire to celebrate its new Alleys, and we wish for you to attend. Please, bring a change of clothes to keep you comfortable as well. G.U.N will already be informed of this letter, so you should be allowed to leave as you wish. Contact Sonic and Silver to aid you. See you later!

After reading allowed Shadow looked up to Rouge who looked excited. Shadow watched as she started packing.

"We're actually going?" He sighed.

"Of course! It's an invitation to a ball! I also need a break from this place." Rouge ended with a shutter. She then turned her back to Shadow to continue her packing.

Shadow looked over the letter again.
"Contact Silver or Sonic  to aid you." He read.
Shadow folded his arms and frowned  at the thought of  needing that blue idiot.  She will possibly invite him too. I guess he figured out how to open up a portal.

He doesn't want to see Sonic. Maybe he'll stay here.

Shadow sat on his bed as he continued to watch Rouge.

But he did enjoy the Palace atmosphere...maybe he should see what Darkmire is like.

"So! We just gotta find Silver or Sonic to help us get there?" Rouge asked herself aloud. She thought for a second. "I guess we better find Silver then. I don't want to here Sonic giggle and talk about how great Blaze is." She rolled her eyes.

Shadow froze from Rouge's statement only letting out a growl.

The Faker had feelings for Blaze. He forgot about that..

Shadow quickly packed then looked to his roommate.
"Ready?"

"Yeah, let's get out if this place." she winked back.

Knuckles sat on The Master Emerald guarding it. As he did this he watched Tikal plant new flowers with the Chao. They really enjoyed her company.

Knuckles laid back and closed his eyes to maybe take a quick nap. Before he could even start to snooze he heard Tikal's voice get closer.

"Knuckles are you sleep again?" She asked.

"Oh no no no. I'm obviously wide awake. Couldn't you tell how I wasn't laying down with my eyes closed?" He ask sarcastically. Knuckles sat up and hopped off the Master Emerald in front to Tikal.
