Chapter 29: Battles 3/3

The battle started intense and it was still intense as Shadow and Blaze clashed their swords for minutes on end. As the fight continues Blaze noticed something weird.

"He is incredibly stiff.." She breathed to herself as she watches his stature. Blaze then shook her head. Why is that important right now? She can't tell him to loosen up it'll only aid him in battle. She needs to focus on winning.
Suddenly as if reading her mind Shadow jumped back making space in between the two. He then begins to rip off the armor aggressively.

Blaze pauses from this and watches in awe as he rips off his armor with brute force..
"My goodness.." she whispered taking a gulp.

~~~~~~BLAZE POV~~~~~~

Stop! just focus! I can feel my face heating up! This is a serious battle Blaze. Get your shit together before-
Suddenly I felt damage on my side. Shadow had kicked with much more force than I have ever experienced from him.

Quickly fix your pausture get ready to dodge!
I looked up to find him missing.
"Ah so we're doing this again."
I say aloud looking around fine his to chaos control around me.
"Aha!" I spin around and dodge his attention from my left. But I still felt a hit.

He then began sending more blows at his apparent new speeds. I struggle to dodge as I was hit by every other blow.
When I finally managed to get some space from him he stared me down. My breathing was unsteady.

"Yield." He spoke in low and daunting voice..
the voice caught me by surprise but I glared back.

It's the armor..I don't need it to fight him-if anything it's holding me back, making me slower.

"Do you know who you are speaking to?" I pull my helmet off to reveal my face again. It was probably painted red by now.

"You'd think I yield to you?" I smirked at my attractive opponent. "Don't make me laugh."
I snickered as I began taking off my own armor.

Now this felt better. I can be more fluid with my attacks this way. Now I shall be able to finish this fight it has  gone long enough...and I can feel myself getting tired.

We continued our fight as I lit my hands and feet ablaze for my opponent.
Shadow was letting out heavy grunts as he swung I noticed his eyes glowing with purple.

That Darkmire ritual is really having an effect on him..that chip on him is playing in his favor as well.. this isn't looking good for me.

"OoFf!!" I flew back from the blow I just took to the gut.. I was sent several feet back from him..

Breathe breathe.
I gasped for air and I eyed shadow.

That punch was way too strong
I'll admit it...he's powerful...more than usual.
"Shit.." I muttered.

He's the ultimate Lifeform with enhancements.
How can I defeat him...
He's charging at me again I must evade-keep a distance.

Wait..he's overpowered.. I can't kill him.
I must injure him,severely if I wish to win...but can I muster up the courage to attempt to do so to my significant other??

~~~~~~~ 3RD POV~~~~~~~~

Blaze who was damaged and bruised rushes to her sword that she has tossed aside as she makes more distance from shadow.

Shadow approaches her quickly. His body was covered with dirt and bruises but nothing he couldn't manage in is state.

His charge was too slow as Blaze grabbed her sword and swung for his head with no remorse.

Both persons were frozen. Her sword had stopped. She look up to see that Shadow had not dodge but caught her sword in his mouth. Not breaking eye contact with Blaze.

Blaze's face turned pink from the daunting move he had pulled. she was amazed, and strangely attracted even more. But her face of awe turned into a hiss as Shadow let out a disapproving low growl.
He bared  his teeth down on her sword and broke it into two almost down to her sword guard.
Blaze pulls her arm away from shadow still gripping what left of her sword and swings it into the side of his torso.

Shadow falls adbruotly still staring at Blaze almost confused. "B-Blaze." He finally spoke.

"Yield Shadow!" Blaze exclaims loudly with a very shaky voice. He was appalled by what she had done  and didn't want to hurt him more.

"I...I can't." He breathed out.

Blaze hisses at his pride through a tear and pins him down on his stomach.
She dug her knee into his back . "Please..Shadow..you must!" She yelled while raising  a fist.

When he tried to move Blaze used a free hand to quickly grabs his side where his stab wound was located. He frozen and growled from the intense pain. "There going...to k-kill perci's.." he barely got out his few words.

Blaze was hesitant for a moment but shook her head and ignites her fist.

Regardless this must be done.
"I-it's going to b-be okay." She whispered as more tears fell from her eyes.
Blaze then used her ignited  fist to jab his lower back.

The impact of the blow created a screen of smoke and dust over the two competitors. Everyone went silent. When the smoke had cleared the Princess, Blaze was seen crying over Shadows lifeless body.

"T-the winner..." Marine spoke unsurley and saddened. "Is our Princess, Blaze..."
Though the winner was announce there werent many cheers from the crowd . Everyone was focused on the princess and her cries of distress. They echoed throughout the arena.
The broadcasters were quiet. The news reporters were  speechless.

Even Scourge who watched from his office was in shock as he showed mixed emotions of sadness and disbelief.

The Ultimate Lifeform of Darkmire, Dead. The Princess of Sol in complete distress and agony.
