I ran to my car and got in as fast as I could. I looked out and saw Sarah walking toward my car. I rolled down the window to hear what she had to say. "Where are you going?" She sounded a bit drunk. Someone probably spiked the punch bowl, not surprising. "I think something's wrong with Rosalie." She looked at me and started to get pissed. "Didn't I tell you to stay away from her? I don't understand why you-"
Without thinking, I started the car and ran over Sarah's foot. I didn't really care what I had just done, even if it wasn't on purpose. I needed to get to her. I began driving, speeding. I finally made it. I didn't see her. I got out of the car an ran towards the lake. "Please don't be here." As I hope that she wasn't in the water. I saw something floating from the distance. It was her. She was in the water, back facing the sky. I couldn't have been to late. I ran into the water. The deeper I went, the more I knew that she was gone. I just didn't want to believe it. I was finally right in front of her. I grabbed her to turn her around. But I already knew that it was too late. I had no words. I just started crying. I was looking at her face. I looked like how it looked in class. When she seemed empty. That's how I new when she was really gone. This wasn't her. This was just the shell of her body. She was somewhere better now. It didn't make me sad though. It made me happy, because all I could think about was her being happy now. I loved her.
