Chapter 16

It has been a few weeks since the party and I'm completely fine.
Nat and Clint are on a month long mission which they started about 2 weeks ago.

I miss her so much but I know the period I have to wait until I see her again is getting shorter and shorter, because we're already past the halfway mark.

Unfortunately, in order to ensure their safety, we cannot have any contact with them.
They are wearing heart monitors though, so we'll know if they are in distress.

There are also sensors on it, so if they do a certain pattern, we will immediately move in to help.

I was in the common area with Tony, Thor and Pietro when there was a knock on the door.
Tony got up and opened it.

Stood there was a blond girl whom I've never seen before.
T: I'm sorry, can I help you?
Y: Is Natasha here. I need to speak with her. I'm Yelena.
T: No she's not....
Me: Wait!! Did you say Yelena?!

I said, jumping up from my seat and running towards the door.
Y: I am. I'm sorry. Do I know you?
Me: No. But I know you. I'm Y/N. Tasha's girlfriend.
Y: I see.... And I'm guessing you know who I am?
Me: I do. Do you want to go somewhere and talk? Unfortunately, Tasha is on a mission and we cannot get her at the moment.
Y: Yeah, sure. We can go to a bar.
Me: Alright. Give me a minute to grab my keys and phone.
Y: Alright.

I turned to the group who were confused and put on my serious face.
Me: If you ask her anything or do anything while I'm gone, I will kill you.

No one said anything, so I yelled at them.
Me: Do I make myself clear?!!
T: Yup.
P: Yes.
Th: Extremely.
Me: Good.
Y: I like you....
Me: I'll be right back Yelena.

I quickly grabbed everything I need and went back to the common area and sure enough, no one had moved from their place.
Me: At least you could've invited her in. She's standing in the doorway for FUCK'S SAKE!!
T: You told us not to do anything!!
Th: I'm so confused....
Me: Ugh.... Men....
Y: Tell me about it. Are you ready to go?
Me: Yes. Let's go.

We got out of the door and started heading towards the garage.
Y: I came here by a car if you'd like to come with me.
Me: Sure. Let's do it.

We got in the car and headed to a nearby bar.
We grabbed some beers and took a seat at a table in the back.
Y: So.... Natasha talks about me?
Me: Only to me. No one else knows.... Sorry....
Y: No, I completely understand. It isn't a part of her life she likes to mention. I'm glad she talks to you though.
Me: Me too. Are you staying? Cuz she'll be here in about a week and a half. I'm sure she would love to see you again. She constantly talks to me about how much she misses you.
Y: Actually, that's what I wanted to talk to her about.
Me: You can talk to me if you'd like. I know almost everything about her past and I know a lot of things from SHIELD.  I can help you if you need anything.
Y: Well, I just escaped the Red Room and-
Me: Wait. You mean to tell me you've been there this whole time?!!
Y: Yes....
Me: I'm so sorry. I had no idea. Tasha doesn't know either.
Y: We haven't been in touch.
Me: Sorry I interrupted you. You were saying?
Y: Well, I needed a place to stay for a while.... You know, lay low.... and I didn't have any money to get a hotel.
Me: You can stay at my place if you want. Or you can stay at the compound.
Y: I think I'll stay at your place. Since Natasha hasn't said anything about me to anyone, I don't want anyone to find out.
Me: Well, she has told Clint too but he's on the mission with her, so....
Y: I see. Who's Clint?
Me: He's her best friend. They go way back.
Y: Oh.... How long have you too been dating?
Me: Almost 4 months....
Y: Do you love her?
Me: Of course I do.
Y: You answered that way too comfortably. Have you told each other 'I love you' already?
Me: We have. I'm so in love with your sister. I will marry her one day.
Y: So you'll be my sister?
Me: Something like that.... Yeah....
Y: Cool. I like you.
Me: Well, I'm glad.
Y: Where is your place?
Me: Wait. Let me check with El where we can go.
Y: Who's El?
Me: Oh. She's my AI.
Y: Oh cool.
Me: I like your vest by the way. It has so many pockets.
Y: I know, right?!! You can keep so many things in them!!
Me: I know. It's very nice.
Y: Now I just like you even more.
Me: I'm glad. El.
E: Yes boss.
Y: Cooooolllll....
Me: Which of my condos is the safest right now other than the house?
E: The penthouse boss.
Me: Perfect. Maximise the security in there, because I'm going to have a very important guest over and order groceries.
E: The usual boss?
Me: Wait. Yelena?
Y: Yeah?
Me: Is there anything specific that you need that I might not have?
Y: Vodka?
Me: Trust me. I have plenty of vodka.
Y: Then, I'm good.
Me: Ok. El. Order the usual. I want them delivered within the hour. Don't let anyone in the penthouse though.
E: Done boss.
Me: Also, call Tony and tell him I'm not coming in for a few days.
E: Done.
