Finally released by Dolores, you rush off to do your unfinished chores, only to find that they were already done by the parents, who banters about their children's feelings towards you. Since you had nothing to do, Pepa urges you to play with Antonio, to which you oblige. Remembering the vision once again, you head back inside, suddenly getting intervened by a crying Luisa, whom you did your best to comfort. With the proposal dinner at hand, you can't help but grow worried, making you skip out on supper and finally into Bruno's clutches, as he becomes anxious about Mirabel's discovery of the vision. Instantly, he grows tense at the sudden sound of footsteps approaching, forcing you to hide in his sanctuary as he bolts off by himself.

Struggling to keep your dreary eyes open, you were about to doze off while sitting in the worn, yet plush couch that Bruno often used, but instantly bolt up when you hear faint voices from beyond the door.

"Uh... nothing to see in here! Just where I sleep, is all."

"Fine, then answer my questions." A girl's voice responded to Bruno's nervous one. A voice that you instantly recognized.

Mirabel.

"Er..." The seer had gotten more and more nervous, he knew you were still in there.

Just as the girl was about to unlock the door, you swing it wide open, revealing yourself in all of your slightly disheveled glory, plus the rats that nested themselves on you.

"Uh... surprise...?" You shrugged and smile sheepishly as the two gaped at you, with Mirabel being more shocked than you remember ever seeing her.

With that, you feel yourself and the curly-haired girl get dragged inside, finally bringing Mirabel off her stupor.

"Wait, wait, wait. What are you doing here? So, you were with Bruno all this time? Does that mean you know about the vision?"

Question after question came flooding out of her as Bruno sat down on the couch awkwardly. You on the other hand, gave a tired sigh at the girl before you.

"...alright. I knew about it all this time, okay? I knew that the house was going to break, I knew that the candle was flickering—"

"And you didn't... tell anyone? Not even... me?" Mirabel gazed at you with an expression that could only be described as hurt, and for a moment, you averted your eyes in shame.

"Yes. They didn't tell anyone because of me, because I told them not to." Bruno was quick to stand beside you in defense.

"But... why?"

"Because—"

"Because I thought I could save the miracle myself!" You yell. Effectively cutting the seer off. The two only gazed at you in surprise and silence, urging you to continue.

"...I-I just don't want you or anyone to get hurt! I know you'll risk yourself to find out what happened, so I thought if I did it first then everything will go back to normal!"

"...but, why did you—"

"Mirabel, I don't belong here! I'm just an outsider who you got stuck with because I don't have any real family left! You've all been so kind and accepting that I feel like if I don't do anything I can to help, I'm just dead weight! I-I just... want to repay everything. I don't want anyone to get hurt, so I thought I'd do it on my own expense so your family won't lose anyone important, and—" Your words were interrupted by a tight embrace from the spectacled girl, who was practically tearing up.
