"Did he say he'll come?" Katsuki whispers to Izuku trying to be discreet.
Izuku nods before looking over towards where their friend is currently packing his stuff up to leave.
"Hey, Denki." Izuku grins as Denki looks up to acknowledge that he heard the other boy. "Do you want to go train with us like old times?"
Katsuki can see the hesitance on Denki’s face. It's concerning to him because the Dunce Face he remembers would never back down from spending time with his friends. "Eyebags will be there."
Denki whips his head up to face Katsuki. He had tried to find Hitoshi in the lunch room earlier, but the purple haired boy was nowhere to be found. "I'll text Ahmya to see if I can."
Denki thinks quickly to come up with something that might get the woman to allow him to train with his friends. Surprisingly, she agrees to him not only staying past school hours to train that day, but also every school day after that. He excitedly tells his friends about the agreement and asks them to wait for him a moment as he has something that he needs to write really quickly.
"Kacchan, why don't you wait here with Denki. I have to go get the girls from Auntie Nem." Izuku turns to leave the room, and Katsuki breathes a sigh of relief once the green haired boy isn't in the room anymore.
Denki finishes his note quickly, then faces his blonde friend. "I'm sorry about earlier." He gulps at the menacing look on Katsuki's face. "I… I um… I was excited for you because I remembered how you always looked like you were pining for him. I didn't realize."
Katsuki sighs, his facial expression softening. "I'm not mad at you, Dunce Face. It's not like you've exactly been able to contact us in the past three years."
Denki gets closer to Katsuki's side and shoves his shoulder. "You know, that cute redhead didn't take his eyes off you all day."
"Shut up, Pikachu," Katsuki growls at him. "You don't know what you're talking about."
Despite Katsuki's attitude, Denki can see the minor blush that has appeared on his face. He hopes for the explosive boy's sake that he can move on from Izuku and find someone else who might actually love him the way he wants, and needs, to be loved.
Izuku's only gone for about ten minutes before returning with two girls with the same black hair as the sensei of class 1A. One of the two, the one wearing a forest green hoodie, practically launches herself into Katsuki's arms the moment she sees the boy. He catches her effortlessly, and she immediately wraps her little arms around his neck, squeezing tightly.
Denki chuckles at Katsuki's fake pained face. He can tell that the other blonde enjoys the child's attention, but he always has to keep up that uncaring attitude around others lest someone realize that he actually does have a heart.
The second of the two girls, this one wearing a bright yellow dress that Denki is sure was picked out by Present Mic, walks directly up to Denki and holds out her arms as if she wants him to pick her up. Denki looks at her uncertainly. This girl doesn't even know him, yet she's willing to just reach out to him.
"Hi! I Hiwa!" The girl announces with a huge grin.
Denki nervously looks over at Izuku, and the slightly younger boy gets the message. He picks his little sister up earning himself a glower from her.
"Hima, what have we all told you about reaching for strangers?"
She sticks out her lower lip in a pout. "Picher wit Tochi."
"I know, but Denki doesn't know you." Izuku looks back up at the blonde. "Sorry, Himawari is very social, unlike Sakura who just latches herself to Kacchan and refuses to let go. He's her favorite."
