"What took your class so long?"
Denki groans at his boyfriend's question. "Apparently, Aizawa Sensei is a sadistic bastard."
He flops onto the bed in the room he and Neito had been assigned to sleep in. Katsuki was offered the room as well, with Denki only being put in there as a buffer between the two loud blondes, but he didn't want special treatment, even if that put him at risk of being found out. Since the room had already been set up for the three boys, Denki was still allowed to sleep in there.
"Have you gone to the hot spring yet?" Denki asks after a bit, itching to go himself, but he wants to go with Neito, unless the other blonde has already taken advantage of the spring before Denki’s class arrived.
Neito shakes his head. "The teachers told me that Bakugou and I go later, after everyone else has gone to bed. Of course, the same offer is extended to you too, to keep us from killing each other."
Denki stifles a giggle. Sure, Neito and Kacchan have been getting along better since finding out they have something in common, but that doesn't mean they get along perfectly. More often than not, they will fight if Denki, Hitoshi, or Izuku aren't there to calm one or both down. Kirishima isn't any help in the calming process as he hates Neito with a burning passion, something that no one has been able to figure out the reason for.
Once everyone else has already gone to bed, Denki and Neito slip out to the hot spring. Of course, Katsuki had declined the privacy of bathing where it would just be people who know about his situation, choosing to just use a binder and claim he just wants to wear a tank top, so the two blondes have the spring all to themselves, something Denki isn't sure if he's happy about. While he doesn't really want anyone else to see his soulmate naked in the hot spring, he's not entirely certain that he's ready to see his boyfriend naked in the hot spring.
*** I might be inclined to make a one-shot of them in the hot spring, if there's enough interest. Let me know if you want it. Just know that it'll be spicy and considered canon to my series. ***
"Augh! We wanted to do the test of courage too!" Mina groans as Shouta drage the five who failed their exams towards the makeshift classroom.
"You said this was going to be candy and the whip!" Kirishima complains along with them.
Denki can't help but agree. She wants to do the test of courage too, wants to have some fun with her friends. "At this point, I'll even take some salty licorice." If there was a table to bang her head on, she would have. "Just enough with the whip, give us some candy," she has to stop herself from saying Shouta, "Sensei."
The students zone out on what their teacher has to say from there as they know they're not getting anywhere with him. He's stubborn and strict. They just do their best to move along with the man to keep from being dragged on the ground as much as possible.
The moment her friends start to walk into the makeshift classroom, Denki hears someone starting in on them about how many managed to fail the exam.
"Ohh! How strange! The supposedly superior class A has five students failing!" Denki sighs as she sees Neito laugh like the manic he can be sometimes. "And yet, class B has only one! That really is strange! Don't you think? I couldn't imagine how that must make you feel!"
"I'll take care of him," Denki groans to her classmates. She's really going to have her work cut out for her with getting Neito to stop messing with her class.
As Denki starts towards her boyfriend, she can see as he stiffens up a bit, slowly dropping the laugh. By the time she's directly next to him, he's silent and giving her an apologetic look. She leans down next to his ear. "If you can behave and get along with my class, I might be able to persuade Aizawa Sensei to let us go to the hot spring again after the lesson."
Neito gulps and nods slightly, just enough for Denki to see. "I'm sorry. I won't do it again."
"Good boy," Denki whispers back with a slightly seductive tone to her voice. She moves so they're face to face and gives him a quick peck on the lips. "Prove it, and I'll talk to Aizawa Sensei."
Denki then backs away from him and sits at the desk next to Neito’s. They sit through the boring class until Neito’s phone starts going off at the same time that a villain breaks into the room.
Aizawa handles the villain, telling the kids to get back, and Neito silences his phone. Whoever's calling isn't as important as staying alive. As soon as Aizawa manages to defeat the villain, turning it into some sort of goo, Neito’s phone starts going off again. Everyone knows he's at the training camp and he's busy, no one would be calling him this late, unless… He yanks his phone out of his pocket and checks. He was right. It is his mom.
"Fuck!" Neito groans in annoyance before answering the phone and holding it to his ear. "Please tell me you're not calling for what I think you're calling for." He's panicking. What if the villains hurt Denki and she never gets to see the baby? They can't leave right now. There's a fucking villain attack going on right now.
"Ahmya went into labor." Jun confirms her son's fear. "You need to get Denki here as soon as possible."
"We'll be there as soon as possible." He doesn't want to worry his mother. She doesn't need to know about the villain attack right now. Right now, she has to focus on making sure the baby is delivered safely, not on her son's safety. "I'll call Toshi and have him be there so that he can keep us updated."
"Okay. Hopefully you'll have time to get him here before she's born."
"We'll be there as fast as possible." He hangs up without even thinking to correct his mom on Denki’s pronouns for the day. He's too busy worrying about what's going to happen. Not even a second later, Neito has Hitoshi on the phone telling him to meet Jun at the hospital to keep him and Denki posted on the baby. He doesn't mention the villain attack to Hitoshi either. There's nothing he can do to help, so there's no point in needlessly worrying them.
"What's going on?" Denki asks not having paid any attention to Neito’s phone calls.
"Ahmya's in labor."
