As soon as Mitsuki closed the door, she called up Inko to let her know what had happened. Izuku spent the night with Katsuki and dreamt that night of his favorite place he had dreamt of since he turned four, Wonderland. He thanked Cheshire Cat who had a bigger smile than usual and asked him what really happened. The cat was happy to explain that the sudden extreme fear had caused him to have enough power to appear to everyone and save the boys as it was Izuku's only wish at the time.

In the morning, he stumbled downstairs in his excitement and was happy to tell both his mothers, Inko and Masuru, as Mitsuki was more of the "man" of the house about his dream. Both Bakugos believed Izuku as he had no reason to lie and were just happy to see him safe and in one piece. Inko, however worried for her son as she believed that Wonderland was only in his head as his quirk is his wings and allowed him to control time. Izuku's father called that afternoon as he was worried about his son's safety and Izuku was happy to tell him all about what happened.

"It was crazy Papa! Kacchan and I were walking home from school when a villain came out of nowhere!" He explained, knowing full well that the other parents were listening in and wasn't about to snitch on himself about why he was really near the fight. "He was super scary too! He was really tall and had crazy glowing yellow eyes and sharp fingernails that dig into my shoulder when he grabbed and froze me with his quirk..." Izuku paused as a small shudder shook through his body remembering the fear he felt in the moment. "But don't worry Ota-san, I'm okay now because my quirk activated and Cheshire Cat tricked him and whisked Kacchan and I to safety!" Izuku heard his father let out a sigh of relief, "I'm glad to know you and Katsuki are okay buddy. Please try to stay out of trouble for bit okay? Your old man's heart can only take so much!" Hisashi teased and smiled at the sound of his son's laughter over the phone.

Izuku aimlessly chatted with his dad for a bit longer till the man had to go back to work and had a bright smile when he handed the phone back to his mother. She gave him a soft smile as her mind seemed to be in another place but Izuku pushed the thought away. He spent the rest of the day playing heroes with Katsuki but they didn't wander off too far as neither's parents let them out of their sight. When night came, Inko nearly had to drag her child from his best friend and promised the boys they could hang out again soon. Having been given the rest of the week off of school, Inko sent Izuku to his room to get some of his work done and worked on making a quick late night snack before bed.

She called Izuku back down stairs after a short while as the food was done and they quietly ate. Izuku could feel his mother's watchful eyes on him as he ate and couldn't contain his curiosity as he washed their dishes together. "Why do you keep staring at me Mama?" He asked and looked at her worriedly as she stopped drying the bowl in her hand and sighed. She slowly put it on the counter and held his hand in hers. "I'm worried about you baby boy..." She started out softly and held his hand up to her face. Izuku could see tears in her eyes but didn't understand why.

Inko placed her hand on the small bruise he had in his head from the attack and gently rubbed her thumb over it. "You're scaring me Mama..." Izuku slightly cried, trying to hold back his tears as he had to stay brave for her. "Sweetheart... I think you hit your head a little too hard during the attack..." Izuku felt his heart skip a beat in fear as he waited for what else his mother was going to say. "Your Wonderland friends aren't real... they're just in your head baby..." Izuku's heart cracked at the sound of her words but couldn't bring himself to say anything as his mouth was suddenly dry. "The fear you felt during the attack left you confused... someone saved you and that someone had a quirk that reminded you of your friends... but they aren't real... your wings and quirk are but Wonderland isn't..."

The cracks in Izuku's heart continued to grow and he would need more than some duck tape and super glue to fix it but his mother wasn't done talking. "Izuku you are seven now and the man of the house with your father away... I need you to grow up for me and make some actual friends... Katsuki is a good start but don't you want more than him?" The dame broke and tears completely flooded Izuku's vision. "But Mama..." Inko put a finger to his mouth and cut him off. "Promise me you will at least try! For mama okay? Promise me!" Izuku winced as his mother's nails accidentally cut into his arms and stung as she intensity stared at him waiting for his promise. Izuku just nodded and sniffled as more tears fell.

Inko sighed happily and hugged him tightly but Izuku just wanted to get away. "Don't cry Zuku, everything is going to be okay." Hearing his mother's once affectionate nickname for him be said after crushing his heart left a sick feeling in his stomach. He never wanted to hear her call him that again and wanted her hands away from him. He slowly pulled out of her hug and whispered goodnight and closed his eyes tightly as her lips touched his forehead. He wanted to wash the lipgloss from her kiss off and headed to his room and straight to the bathroom. He stripped of his clothes and turned on steaming hot water. Despite the scolding temperature, he scrubbed and scrubbed as his skin turned red and fell asleep that night as the exhaustion of all his crying finally hit.
