Becoming the one known as Ghost - 13

Hisashi Midoriya, also known as the American hero, Inferno, is well known in America and many other countries as he is one of their top twenty heroes. He is also Endeavor's cousin with them both being fire users. While Endever can create fire from anywhere on his body, Hisashi can only breathe fire but has better control over it and can bring his fire to slightly higher temperatures as it has area needed to warm up in. He happily married Inko Shimizu and they had a baby boy. For his safety, they kept his name a secret up until two years ago. It was released in October when the ten year old ran away from his mother while his father continued to work overseas.

An article was written about his disappearance and can be seen on page seven. The hero Inferno, had been working on beginning construction on an new hero agency building for two years previous to this event taking place and construction has finally been completed. Hisashi Midoriya pleads with the media to keep a lookout for his son who is now twelve to please let him know of any tips or sightings as he travels back to his home country in Japan to join the search for his child. Izuku was last seen with green hair, four freckles forming diamonds on each cheek, and emerald green eyes. Izuku sighs as he puts down the newspaper article. It has been a bit over a year since it was printed and while he missed his father, he didn't want to hold his father back from being the amazing hero he is. Since he had returned to Japan, he quickly ran up the ranks and could again be found with the top twenty ranked heros. His Wonderland friend's had tried to convince him before as well to go back home but he couldn't risk it. His father was happy from what he had observed and had dropped off several recorded messages over the years to both his father and the Bakugos to ensure them that he was alive and okay.

Life hadn't been the easiest and he was forced to create a fake identity to continue his education but it wasn't too bad. He originally used the power he got from Cheshire to whisk in and out to steal food without being discovered but he got a job after a few months at a gas station and didn't have to steal after that. The owner was well aware that he was underage as his voice and height was a strong give away but the woman let him lie that he was her nephew and paid him with cash to stay off the records for the most part. He had kept his freckles covered and his hair remained grey so no one recognized him as Izuku. His wings stayed in his back in tattoo form for the most part as well and was known as Minami Kei. He kept his last name with an m to make it easier to recognize as they were sort of similar and kept him from slipping up.

   Izuku had one main problem that he struggled with for a while when he first ran away. He wanted to be a hero and you can do that under a fake identity as you will get caught. Getting caught meant going back to his mother and he wasn't about to let that happen. So instead, he decided to skip the hero training and just become a vigilante. He knew this was extremely dangerous and quirk use in public was illegal but he had found several loop holes in this law. For one, quirk use can be legal if someone attacks you first meaning all he had to do was convince the attacker to go after him and throw the first punch. Second, if no one knows who you are and you aren't caught, they can't charge you will jail time or community service. He didn't have a third reason as much as he wanted one but his first reason seemed pretty solid and not too hard to follow as criminals tend to be hot headed. Plus he could attack with things other than his quirk.

To become a vigilante, he needed training, a costume, equipment, and a name. The name was easy as his favorite power was from Cheshire which his called wisp. It allowed him to appear and disappear like a ghost so he was going to be known as ghost, the disappearing vigilante. Equipment was the second easiest to come upon as the Dagobah beach was full of filthy yet useful crap. People would throw away old phones, broken toasters, empty refrigerators, even an old rundown car! Izuku didn't know too much about technology but his false identity came in handy when he used it to finish his elementary education and begin his middle school years online. Under his false name, he forged parental signatures and false documents and took robotics, computers, and coding as electives. He was smart enough to skip a grade allowing him to take more electives than most and excelled in his classes.

Izuku used the knowledge he gained from online school and occasional visits to the library to build and code burner phones and fix up his old laptop. He created a bow staff that could extend and shrink along with tasers, flash bangs, smoke bombs, and a voice changer into a mask. Creating a costume was the next on his list along with training and those were both easier and harder. Hatter was happy to create him a costume but it could look too scary as he didn't want to scare people away but he couldn't look inviting and nice either. They ended up using a simple jumpsuit design with thicker pants with many pockets and a belt to hold weapons and equipment. He had his mask with his voice changer to cover most of his face and his shirt was basic with a thicker material padded over vital organs. It was all light grey like to his hair tips and made him look similar to an actual ghost.

As for training, Izuku watched many videos of hero vs villian fights along with villian vs villian. He watched heroes to learn their moves and how they sealed with certain situations without fatal injuries and villains to learn dirty tricks they will use in desperation to win. His father had taught him a few moves over FaceTime on weekends if he had the time when he was younger which helped out a lot as well. He trained on the beach to build up his muscles and tried a bit of parkour too to build up his agility and quick movements. He fell quite a few times while learning but Izuku believed it was better to fall a few feet and get hurt than avoid a knife too late and bleed out in an alley. He never gave up his quirk analysis either and one day had discovered (hacked into) a hero website used with clips of villains asking for analysis on their quirk. Everyone had code names so Izuku gave himself one and soon found out if your information was right, would receive an online payment.

Izuku dubbed himself "Zuanalysis012" and became popular quite quickly. He learned to balance his online job with his job at the gas station with Hana and school on top of getting enough sleep to function all day. He worked most afternoons with Hana, had school in the morning from Monday to Friday, and was analyzing in the evenings. He even gained a friend called "Rulerofua" on the hero sight and would play chess with him whenever he had the time. Sure he missed his dad and Kacchan but life was going okay and he couldn't put them at risk. He was about to become a vigilante and anyone he knew if he got caught would be at risk of being arrested by association. He got lonely at times but it was worth it to protect people and keep his loved ones safe.
