Part 9:Clandestine fights

The day after the test,Empoleon still feels sore from yesterday's battle.Chloe is ready to go at school while her mom enter the room.
"Chloe,the bus is here"
"OK,mom. Empoleon,it's better that you stay at home for today. Don't worry about me".
Empoleon nodded but it was annoyed by his injuries.
"Ok,i go. See you later" says Chloe.
"OK,have a good day" says her mom.
Empoleon don't understand why Chloe leave the house but her mother no. Chloe's mother give a look at Empoleon and says"guess you're wondering why i stayed at home. Well,i take a free day from work and i can't leave you at home tanned in that way. I know that you'll leave the house for follow Chloe at school but you can't do it today,not in that status. You're part of our family now and i don't want that something worse happened to you. So you'll stay with me at home,Ok?"
Empoleon nodded also if he doesn't like it.
"Beh,those who are silent consent.So we agree."
Meanwhile Chloe is at school and she's entering it when notice a boy that is too much silent and serious. She doesn't say nothing but she's wondering who will be that boy.
When all her classmates are in the class,the teacher reaches it and did an announcement:"Guys,we've a new classmate. Give him a warm welcome". With Chloe's big surprise,she discovered that the boy she saw before is her new classmate.
"My name is JP and....ehm...i'm happy to be here.."says the boy with a timid voice.
"OK JP,there is a place for you next to Chloe. If you can sit there like this we begin the lesson" says the teacher.
"OK". JP sat next to Chloe. She's happy to have someone next to her since nobody want her around because of the wheelchair.
After school,Chloe saw that JP is going in the park behind the school.She follow him and saw JP holding a little Pichu.
"I'm sorry but you know that you can enter the school with me. Are you Ok?"
"Pichu Pi" says the little Pichu,happy to see his human friend again.
"Your Pichu is really cute and lovely"says Chloe
"What? Wait!why you followed me?"
"Because i'm wondering where are you going. And i don't know this place. Maybe i'll let my Pokémon await me too".
"You've a Pokémon too?"
"Yes,now it's at home. He takes a lot of injuries and now my mother is taking care of him".
"Oh,and what Pokémon is?"
"An Empoleon"
"Empoleon??"says JP with sparkling eyes."it's one of my favorite Pokémon but i never see one before."
"Well,maybe you'll see it if you follow me until my home".
"Really?Yes,why not."says JP,excited to see one of his favorite Pokémon.
During the road,JP asked Chloe why Empoleon get injuried.Chloe says that she's a competitor of the Pokkén Tournament with Empoleon and she's training so hard with an Empoleon's guru,which yesterday submitted her Empoleon in a special training with his own Empoleon.
"And you?Are you doing something special with your Pichu?"
"I'm partecipating to some clandestine fights in the underground of Diggersby Land.Me and Pichu are in disadvantage because Pichu is the only baby Pokémon there but i know that i'll beat all of them one day".
"Clandestine fights? This means that there get used Pokémon that can't partecipate in the Pokkén Tournament?"
"Yes".
They finally reach Chloe's home and they enter it.
"Mom,i'm at home. I've a person to present you...,what the..?
Both JP and Chloe was surprised to see Empoleon full of bandages.
"I thought to cover Empoleon with bandages for let him recover from his injuries faster,it was quite run down.He's stubborn but i won".
"Yes,mom,you did the right thing. Thank you.Mom,Empoleon,this is JP. He's my new classmate. And that it's his Pokémon,Pichu."
"Hello..."
"Pi Pichu"
"Oh,you're such a cutie. And thank you for take company to Chloe until her home JP."
"It was a pleasure.Wow,this is an Empoleon.So majestic and big,like i always thought".Says JP with sparkling eyes.
"Yes,i'm really happy that he becomes friend with my daughter."
Empoleon,that doesn't like humans at all,was unhappy about the look in JP's face."Why this human is so interested to me?"Empoleon thought in his mind.
"Empoleon,you're one of JP's favorite Pokémon. This is why he's looking at you in that way".
"Favorite Pokémon?Uhmm".Empoleon look at JP and Pichu.
"Ah JP,it's dinner time. Do you want to eat with us?"
"Eh? Dinner time? Oh no,i've to return at home immediately. I'm sorry,maybe next time."
"Don't worry,it's all ok.See you at school tomorrow.Goodbye Pichu"says Chloe.
"Sure.see ya."and he start running towards his home.
"Pichu Pi"
After dinner,Chloe asked to Empoleon his opinion about JP.
"Seems to be a good guy but i don't believe to humans at all. You know it".
"Yes,i know,but i'm sure that you'll like him too at the end."
"Bah,maybe."
"Now i want to sleep. Good night Empoleon"
"Good night".
