Chloe won the promotion test against Keith but Shadow Mewtwo come out from nowhere. His shadow energy keep growing.
"I feel that we have to fight against Shadow Mewtwo.."said Chloe while looking to a nervous Empoleon.
Meanwhile all the pokemon returned to be berserk and attack humans and pokemon.
"Keith..the pokemon are out of control and they are attacking humans and pokemon again"said agent Jenny.
Keith looked at Mewtwo"this is interesting,so the reason of why the pokemon went berserk is because of Mewtwo's shadow energy...alright.Chloe,i'll go to protect the other humans and pokemon from the berserk pokemon but i need you to fight against Mewtwo."
"I will. Lucario and Pikachu,please help Keith".said Chloe with a determinated voice.
Lucario and Pikachu nodded and run out of the stadium alongside Keith and Suicune.
Chloe returned to look at Mewtwo and she is ready to face it.
"I don't know what is happening but i will stop you.Empoleon,i know that bad memories are running in your mind right now but i count on you for stop them".
Empoleon looked at Chloe and nodded."I'm ready."
Mewtwo begin to attack with a series of projectiles that Empoleon destroyed with Defog and countered the following attack with Rock Smash. Mewtwo goes KO and Empoleon kept the pressure with a Wake Up Steel Wing,Mewtwo didn't saw the attack and get hit and Empoleon began one of his combos. The phase changed again and Empoleon tried to reach him. Mewtwo used his homing attack for put pressure but Empoleon counter attacked it. Mewtwo stepped back for decide his next move and Empoleon did the same. Mewtwo is charging his Psywave,Empoleon charged over with AquaJet but Mewtwo turned it into a powerful vortex full of shadow power that launched Empoleon in the air. Empoleon managed to return in the ground but Mewtwo attacked with his neutral weak attack and follow it with other moves dealing lots of damages.
"Nngh...Mewtwo is pretty strong..maybe it's time to ask help to a support Pokemon. Likely i brought one with me".said Chloe.
Meanwhile,out of the stadium,Lucario and Pikachu are doing their best for defeat the berserk pokemon.Lucario managed to defeat some Zangoose with Aura Sphere while Pikachu defeated Ursaring with Thunder.
In the stadium Empoleon is trying to prevent to get hurt and he managed to hit Mewtwo again with another of his combos. While Mewtwo was down,Chloe took a decision that never did before."Sylveon,i need your help. Empoleon call out Sylveon now!"Empoleon called Sylveon out and she used Reflect for raise Empoleon's defense and give him back some HP.Empoleon stepped back and gained some space among him and Mewtwo,enough space for avoid and punish Mewtwo's aerial strong attack with Counterattack. During the change of phase,Chloe took another decision.
"Empoleon,it's time to finish this! Burst Mode now!"Empoleon entered his burst mode,also if he's feeling a little less powerful than before. Mewtwo used Psywave again but Empoleon beated it with Defog. Mewtwo used his back weak attack but Empoleon used AquaJet for punish him and followed it with Rock Smash.During the wake up Empoleon used Rock Smash again and Mewtwo blocked it.Mewtwo used his forward weak attack but Empoleon used AquaJet again for avoid Mewtwo to activate the pillar and he used another of his combo,finishing it with his Burst Attack and defeating Mewtwo.Once Mewtwo get up,he showed his anger and then disappeared with his shadow power. The girl kept looking to Chloe and Empoleon without saying nothing and than disappeared too. Meanwhile,the Synergy Stone in the stadium lose some energy.
"The stone is losing energy" said Chloe,worried.
Keith with Pikachu and Lucario entered the stadium again."Are you two alright?"said Keith.
"Yes,we are but the stone lost some energy again...and Mewtwo with the girl disappeared"
"Uhm...the stadium is in bad condition,i think we'll close the tournament like before. it's better that you two return at home".
"Alright,let's go guys". Empoleon,Pikachu and Lucario followed her with Empoleon carrying her wheelchair. While returning at home,they thought about what happened.
"That Mewtwo..it's so strange,i never saw a dark Mewtwo before..Empoleon, are you alright? I thought Sylveon would help you..
"I'm hurt and tired but fine. Though i felt that our burst mode is less powerful than usual and i think that that Mewtwo have something to do with it."
"I wonder what is happening here...let's not think about it."
With lots of thoughts in their head they are returning at home but someone is spying them. What will happen now? Let's see it in the next chapter.
