The New Haddock

"Hiccup, I swear if you don't drive faster I WILL kill you" Astrid said gritting her teeth, as she was in labor

"I'm sorry Milady. I'm driving as fast as I can!" He replied, patiently

Let's rewind a little bit. As you can probably tell time has passed since our golden couple announced they were pregnant with their second child to their family. They decided to do a gender reveal for this kid because not only did Astrid and Hiccup want to prove each other wrong, they also just really wanted to know. Astrid's best friend, Heather, was in charge of revealing the gender. Both Hiccup and Astrid tried to make Heather tell them what the gender was, but she didn't budge until the time was right for the reveal.

"C'mooon Heather! Won't you tell meeee?" Astrid asked on the day of the reveal

"Nope, you're finding out in exactly.....an hour from now" She replied, checking her watch

Soon everyone gathered at Hiccup and Astrid's place, and Heather was about to open the envelope which contained the child's gender

"Ready to be proved wrong, Milady?" Hiccup whispered to Astrid, as Heather slowly opened the envelope

"You wish, babe. It's gonna be a girl....I hope" She replied

"Aaaaand it's a....." Heather started, "...a boy!"

"Holy Thor, I was right" Hiccup let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in

"I get a new baby brother!!" Zephyr exclaimed

"So, it wasn't a girl" Astrid shrugged, not that surprised

"Hah, now you got to change all his poopy diapers for a week!" He said, after giving her a big hug. "Although you and I know I'll be doing it anyway because you deserve the rest" he whispers in her ear before letting go

Now, let's fast forward to just before Astrid was threatening to kill her husband. Astrid was a couple days past her due date, and she was getting real snappy because of it.

"Come on, baby. Won't you come out now?" Astrid complained, as she rubbed belly

"Patience, Milady. Maybe he's just shy?" Hiccup jokingly suggested, which earned him a punch on his arm by his wife, "Ahhhhooow! Nice to know that you can still punch hard" He said, while rubbing his arm

"Hey, pregnant or not my punch will remain the same" She replied, and as she sat up in bed she let out a gasp

"What is it?" Hiccup asked, concerned

"I think my water broke" Astrid said, turning to face him

"You think?! What do you mean 'you think'?" He said, as he rushed over to her side to help her up

"I dunno Hiccup. What do you think all this water dripping from my legs mean?" She asked, sarcastically

"That you still wet the bed?" He replied

"Funny" Was all she said, then they started to leave for the hospital

Hiccup called his Dad to watch over Zephyr before they left. Astrid's contractions were becoming closer and closer to each other with each minute that passed, hence her threatening Hiccup

"We're almost there! Just sit tight for a while, Milady. Take a couple of deep breaths. Maybe that would help" He suggested, and she did so as they sped through the streets

"Hiccup, I think he's coming like really soon" Astrid said. And when they had arrived at the hospital she was rushed into a room, because she was already ready to push

"ARGHHH" She yelled, and Hiccup couldn't help remembering that day 3 years ago when she gave birth to Zephyr. Specifically, seeing his wife in pain like that and him not being able to do anything about it
