Olivia Morgan
Janna opened the glass door for both of us nang pumasok kami sa cafeteria. Janna accepted, but I was worried when she didn't smile as wide as she used to. Tahimik lang siyang sumang-ayon at sumama sakin.
"Bilhan kita Pancake Waffle, Jan. Paborito mo 'yon diba?" Ani ko at hinintay ang reaksyon niya.
But Janna only nodded quietly. But this time, she was oddly quiet.
I stood on my line worriedly.
Maybe she's mad at me. I don't know. I can't read her expression.
"Jan, I'm sorry for ignoring your texts and calls the other day,"
"Hm? Kailan?" She raised me a brow.
"No'ng Halloween Party," Sagot ko.
I don't know if she really doesn't remember or she's just spiteful. But I don't believe Janna's that kind of a person, honestly.
"Oh, okay," Kibit balikat niyang sagot, "Okay lang. 'Di rin naman ako nagtagal do'n,"
I slowly nodded as I studied her. She's also not wearing make up, which is quite unusual.
"Are you alright, Jan?" She hasn't taken a bite at all.
I suggested as I squeezed her hand lightly. "I can tutor you again if you like," suhestiyon ko.
Janna and I met on sophomore year, dahil matalik silang magkaibigan ni Robbie. She was always jolly and her personality over all is happy go lucky. Kadalasang bibo si Janna kaya alam kong may mali ngayong baliktad ang asal niya.
"Wag na," Munting ngiti niya, "At sigurado ako, Olivia. Ikaw nga alam kong may problema kay Allan e,"
"Nagkatampuhan lang. It's not a big deal," I shrugged.
"Not a big deal?
It has been a month since we've talked.
And truthfully, I don't know the truth.
Ayoko muna siyang kausapin hanggang 'di pa kami naguusap ni Montemayor. I want to clarify things with her first, before fixing things with Allan.
And I'm glad she didn't pry any longer. And then I realized she just diverted the topic to me. Pero naiintindihan ko siya. Just like me, she probably doesn't want to talk about problems either.
