Gashu introduced you to the second main game and it's rules. Apparently there is the possibility of trading cards now for 50 me tokens.
Thankfully you had enough for one trade, if the sacrifice happened to be in your hand you'll be able to pass it to someone else. Not that you want to do that, but it might be for the best.
You looked at Sara. She looked terrified. She's afraid of getting the card that killed Joe, and you knew it.
You walked up to her and whispered "Don't worry. As long as I'm here I'm not going to let you die. I promise."Roles were assigned, you were a commoner. Thank goodness.
*Slight time skip*
Sou was trying to get Sara to open up the Sara folder on the laptop. You put on your reading glasses.(If you don't have them, just pretend)
I read the file named 'Personal thanks' It didn't have anything to do with the death game, but it was just Kai thanking the Chidouin family for all they did for him.
Sara was reading that, you didn't know how to feel about this message. 'What if Sara felt for Kai what he felt for her?' You though. You knew it was a ridiculous thought, you tried to dismiss it, but it will always be there.
After that you read '[Important]BackCheck' file. It contained information about some participant who data was deleted then restored.
You see Sou panic, and rush to the 'bathroom'. Sure buddy.
There was a sound made by your tablets. The sound signifying that there has been a trade.
Everyone check their tablet. You were still a commoner. Thank goodness.
"The third trade has just been preformed." The robotic voice from the tablet said.
Sara started panicking and ran away. You followed her. She was passed out in the room of lies. The room which previously contained corpses, both human and non-human, has been completely cleaned. Like nothing has ever happened.
You knew you shouldn't be doing this, but you took Sara's tablet and used her finger to unlock it. She had the sacrifice card. 'Sou... I'll never forgive you for this...' You though.
Gin suddenly ran into the room. "Big sis Sara! Stay with us!" He shook her awake.
You and Gin somehow managed to calm Sara down as much as we possibly could.
*Slight time skip*
You have just witnessed Safalin giving Ranger his 'heart'. After that... Ranger expired... Safalin gave you the chip you were after. And Gin, Sara and Safalin excited the room.
You were left alone with nothing but your own thoughts and Rangers head.
'It's not going to work.' You thought.
'They won't let us go just like that. There is a chance, but a small one.'You look at Ranger's head... You knew what you had to do... You placed your reading glasses on Ranger's head and left the room.
*another slight time skip*
It failed... The plan to escape failed... You knew it was going to happen...
You decided it was time to do what you had to do. To keep your promise.
You traded with Sara.
"The fifth trade has just been preformed."
"The sixth trade has just been preformed."
The robotic voice of the tablet said.'So, someone also made a last minute trade.' You though to yourself, looking down on the tablet and the sacrifice card displayed on it.
*Yet another time skip(this is the last one, I promise)*
"I guess I should announce the results..." Safalin said. "The keymaster was Keiji Shinogi, the sage was Q-taro Burgerburg and the sacrifice was Y/n L/n and the one who was chosen by the majority vote is Shin Tsukimi."
Kanna looked at you. "So... It's true that you were the reason why Kanna got a commoner."
"Strange how Y/n had only one vote... The sacrifice can vote twice. Why didn't you use your second vote?" Keiji asked.
"Oh, I used it. Alright." I said. "I didn't vote for myself. I voted for Sou."
"That's right... You hate me..." Sou said. "You hated me from the very beginning..."
"No." You simply replied. "I hated you since the moment you gave Sara the sacrifice."
Sara, on the other hand, couldn't even look at you. The card that took Joe away from her will now take you as well.
"I can't believe it." She said.
"It wasn't as unexpected as you think. I was considering it the moment I saw you run off to the room of lies. And I'm sure the floor masters figured it out before I even traded." You said calmly.
"W...Why?" Sara asked. She was shaking and crying. You hated seeing her in this state, but if it wasn't you, it would be her.
You smiled and said "To keep our promise." You cupped her cheeks and made her look at you "As long as I'm here I'm not going to let you die."
"It's time..." Safalin said.
Sara looked shocked and started panicking "NOOO!!! Please! Not yet!"
"Sara!" You said to her and smiled "It's going to be fine. Survive for me... For Joe... For Kai..."
"Miss Sara, please take this." Safalin gave Sara a button, similar to one that kept Joe alive for longer "It's an instant death button. It will make Y/n L/n's death painless."
"It's going to be fine." You reassured her. "Push it if you want... I won't force you to..."
She closed her eyes and pushed the button...
Y/n expired.
When she finally opened her eyes she saw your dead body. She lost Joe... Now she lost you...
She would think it was all her fault if it wasn't for the one singular detail...
You were smiling... You were dead... But you were smiling...
She was going to keep your promise no matter what.
