Techno POV

Techno woke up first the next morning, a bright smile on his face. His brothers were cuddled up next him, clinging to him like a lifeline. He never wanted to leave it. He never wanted to leave them.

Glancing at the old clock on the wall, he sighed. He had the early shift today, which started in a little over an hour. That at least gave him enough time to get breakfast ready for them. Unfortunately it couldn't be anything special. Just old cereal and some milk.

He attempted to untangle himself from Tommy and Wilbur's grasp, but he found that he was stuck. If anything they only tightened their grip. Techno felt his heart melt at the sight but he could also feel a pang of sadness. Were they really that afraid that he would leave?

He knew his only hope to escape their grip was to wake them up. He didn't want to. They looked so peaceful. And who knows the last time they had gotten a good nights rest. Looking at the clock again, his eyes widened. Had it been ten minutes already?

Techno gently nudged Wilbur first, chuckling at the drool that fell from his mouth. He would never let that go. The brunette shifted, groaning before peeling his eyes open. He looked up at Techno, yawning. "What? What time is it?" he mumbled, unable to really keep his eyes open.

"A little after nine." Techno told him, explaining, "I didn't want to wake you up, but between the iron grips you two have, I didn't really have a choice."

Wilbur yawned again, blinking. "Does that mean I have to get up?" he groaned.

"You can sleep for a little longer while I get breakfast ready."

"O-Okay." he shifted, reluctantly letting go of Techno and pulling Tommy closer to him. The blonde shifted in his sleep, but showed no signs of actually waking up.

Gently, Techno untangled himself from Tommy and slipped off the couch. Heading to their bedroom, he grabbed his uniform and entered the bathroom. As he got ready, he thought of all the things they needed to do before their father got home.

They still had to clean the house. Shaking his head, he was thankful they had until tomorrow morning. Working together, it shouldn't be that much of a struggle.

Deeming himself ready, he went to the kitchen and began getting breakfast ready. Grabbing out a few bowls, he noticed the dishes that still occupied the living room. Sighing, he decided he would do that when he got home. Putting the small gallon of milk out, he headed towards the living room.

He gently shook Wilbur, successfully waking him from his slumber. He groaned, stretching before turning his attention to the blonde. Wilbur nudged him, hoping for once it would be easy. Tommy groaned, mumbling something under his breath before shifting to go back to sleep.

Techno and Wilbur exchanged a look, chuckling. Why was it always so difficult?

"I'll get the water Tommy, you know I will." Techno whispered in Tommy's ear, making sure he heard the threat loud and clear.

Tommy shrugged him off, not seeming to process the words he said. Techno smirked, a playful smile painting his face. Tommy must be really tired, even more tired than normal. As much as he wanted the blonde to sleep, he wanted to hang out with him more. Besides, they only had so much time before he returned. Techno wanted to make the most of it.

Standing up, the teen made his way to the kitchen. Looking between a small glass and a pitcher, Techno was quick to select the larger container. It was hard to know how much water would wake up Tommy so he might as well be prepared.

Quickly Techno filled it about halfway before heading back to the living room. Wilbur untangled himself from Tommy, escaping the splash zone that was coming. Techno smirked, holding the pitcher above the boy's head. Letting one droplet drop, Tommy cursed at them, shifting back to a comfortable position.

Techno only hesitated for a moment before he let the rest of the pitcher come splashing onto him.

Tommy shrieked, jumping up as the sudden cold dawned on his body. Wilbur and Techno nearly fell over laughing. That laughter only continued as Tommy rushed to the kitchen to get his own pitcher.

It wasn't long before a water war arose between Tommy and Techno, with Wilbur hiding behind the couches for cover. Tommy was soaked from head to the toe while Techno was pretty much dry.

Techno wanted to do that forever, but alas all good things had to come to an end. Glancing at the clock, he needed to leave. Even breakfast would cause him to be late.

Sighing, he let Tommy drown him with the rest of the water, knowing it would brighten the boy's spirit. He had never been one for losing. Besides, Techno could borrow an extra uniform at work.

Heading towards the door, he felt two arms wrap around him. Turning around he chuckled, ruffling Tommy's golden hair. "Love you too Toms."

"Bye Techno!" Tommy shouted before racing back into the dining room, set on causing as much trouble as he could with Wilbur.

Smiling to himself, he waved, calling out, "I'll be home in a few hours! Don't start cleaned before I get back!"

"Got it!" the brothers shouted back, thankful that they would be working on it together.

Then Techno left the house, wishing to go back for the first time in years.

In a few hours, he reminded himself.

But that was too long like it always was. And this time he would be too late.
