The dirty look she throws me as soon as i step foot into her bedroom, tells me she's beyond annoyed that it was me that came knocking at her door.
As much as i came in here to ask questions. I cant lie at the fact i wanted to have this nosey around her room. To try and get a clue of what kind of girl she's like. The fact her room doesn't seem to be at all girly, kind of shocks me and throws me off track when i thought I'd gathered what type she was. Posters of bands, stick to her bedroom wall around her bed. And there's not a shade of pink anywhere in sight. There goes my judge of character.
She sighs heavily. I bring my attention to her, noticing straight away that she looks as though she's been crying. Taking a closer look, i see tears still falling down her cheeks. I avert my eyes away from her quickly when her eyes fall back on me.
"What?" she whispers, but her tone was harsh. Is she always going to be like this towards me? I'm trying!
"Listen i- I hastily take a seat on the edge of her bed at the bottom, making sure to keep some distance between us. Which clearly isn't enough, according to her as she budges herself back towards the headboard more. I ignore it, and try keeping my face straight, trying to show it hasn't bothered me... but i think it has slightly. "You didn't have to lie for me" i tell her, meaning it.
She laughs, in a way to patronize me. "I didn't do it for you" she exhales. "I was proving a point" She reaches across for her phone from the bedside table. Checking it before throwing it back where it was before.
"Right" i odd with a nod. Not believing that. "To who?" i question. Not getting the point to that.
She shrugs. "Myself" Then wipes the back of her hands across each of her cheeks.
I change conversation completely. Not wanting to upset or annoy her further. I don't even know what mood she's in to judge how she's feeling. But if it is to do with me, I'd go with the latter. "So, i heard your mum and dad talking, before i come up"
She checks her phone again. I watch. Disappointment taking over her face more the more she looks at it. "yeah, that's what people do" She replies with that sarcasm she seems to love so much.
She could kind of give me a break here. I am trying. I've got two years here. We have to at least try and be civil.
And she really needs to stop with this whole, pissed off... hotness shit she's doing. It's not helping. It's confusing me.
I throw a fake laughter in as i think of a comeback. I decide against playing this sarcastic game with her. My sarcasm tends to come out bitter and harsh at most times. Her mood and state isn't the right time for it.
"I think your parents are going away for the weekend" i tell her with a hopeful smile. That's got to at least cheer her up a little. Who doesn't love having the house to themselves without their parents breathing down their necks? Telling them what they can and can't do?
She nods. But then gives me a look to tell me she doesn't believe me. "That's what i heard" i shrug in defense.
"Then you must of heard wrong. My mum would never leave me and Danny here without them"
"But now I'm here" i tell her with a smirk.
She rolls her eyes at me.
"Plus i heard them say Danny's going to be going to your grans" i add on.
"What?" she sounds panicked. "So. It'd just be.... me and you here?"
Her nervous stare makes me chuckle. "Chill out Dells. I'm not like, a murderer or anything" i tell her. Aiming to humor her.
Which fails. "Well you could be!" she snaps. "And it's Della, to you" she rolls her eyes before getting up off the bed. Now in her pajama shorts and vest.
Shit, she has good legs for a short girl. I quickly have to force my eyes away from checking her out. It's the first time I've seen her showing so much... skin.
She begins brushing her hair in the mirror. I watch her, seeing in her face something is still bothering her. But it's not like i can just straight come out and ask her. I know the answer will be along the lines of 'fuck off'
I need to try and at least cheer her up a bit.
Which will be beyond hard as i don't know a thing about her. So i don't know the things she likes. Apart from music, and bands by the looks from her bedroom. Guess that's at least one thing in common with her.
"Hey" i whisper. Purposely keeping my voice down now so only she hears what i have to say.
She ignores me. "Dells?" i try again. "Della" and again, when she rolls her eyes at me from the choice of name.
"What?" she stops, turning around finally.
I look back at the door, making sure no one's come in or eavesdropping. "Why don't we throw a party while they're away?" i throw her a nod with a grin. Wanting her just go along with this. It would be fucking awesome.
There's no way I'm telling her one of the main reason's is to see exactly what she's like when she's drunk. Imagining she has this dark, wild side to her. But yeah, that's at the top of the list.
"Are you for real?" she laughs. "Mum would kill us. And you this time" she points her hair brush at me before turning back around to the mirror.
"Oh, come on. She won't even know! Live it a little" i push with a little more encouragement.
"No"
"You can be in charge of inviting everyone. Well, obviously. With me not knowing anyone"
"No" she voices again. Not budging.
I try another tac-tic then. "It will help me make friends"
"The sooner i make friends, the sooner I'll be out and staying out of your way"
She turns again. Something now different from her face. The fact she's smiling now is telling me she's caving. "My boyfriend's coming then" she tells me with a stern glare.
"Like i said. You're doing the inviting" i give one last push to get her to agree.
She chews on her lip for a few seconds before looking back over. "Okay!" she nods. And now even seems excited about it.
