Chapter 15

Megan began walking up the steps towards the Armani Cafe spotting Daniel immediately after he raised his hand in her direction. The cafe looked very plain and modern from the outside view and the same sort of design flowed into the interior as well. The seats were a light orange. Exactly the type of orange color you would see in any cafe in the middle of Cannes. It was also filled with a bunch of plants that were either on the table, in corners, and even up in the ceiling. The view up top was the best part since the cafe had a greenhouse kind of feel with a clear glass dome that surrounded the entire place.

"Megan I'm right here!" Daniel said smiling and walking towards her. 

"I'm so glad you could come with.. um uh Trevor, yes that's his name. You'll love the food here, it's one of the best cafes in France," 

"Glad you invited us to talk about the painting," Megan said with Trevor by her side. "Hey man," Trevor said putting his hands in his pockets. 

The three took their seat a nearby table and were handed menus by a waitress. 

"So did you two plan to match today??" Daniel asked as he took a sip of his water eyeing Trevor's choice of clothes. 

Trevor and Megan both looked at their own outfits and then each others. "Oh no. I didn't even realize it. It's a coincidence," Trevor said smiling. 

"You could say we're finally rubbing off on each other," Megan said giving a polite smile back at Trevor. 

Everyone ordered what they had chosen from the menu and Trevor and Daniel began to make good banter between one another, for a change, since they haven't been talking much at all before then. Daniel had finally told them the situation they were gonna be in to get the painting. Lots of legal issues and all that. But since the painting was given to him directly and then donated to the hotel he could work some things out with his boss and the painting would be given back to them in 2 days.

"That would be so great! Thank you so much," Megan said smiling. 

"I'm glad we came here then," Trevor responded.

"I would do anything for you guys," Daniel said reaching his arm out to hold Trevor and Megan's hands. 

Megan and Trevor both exchanged each other weird looks as they glanced back at the warmth of Daniel's hand. 

"So in other news I um wanted to ask if you guys were together?" Daniel asked taking another sip of his drink. 

"What? Like a couple? Of course n—" Trevor said until he felt Megan's fingers intertwine with his own and raise it up to the table. 

"Of course! No one would compare to us. Right Trevor?" Megan asked Trevor looking at him with wide eyes. 

"Oh that's good for you guys," Daniel said not so enthusiastic about what he just heard. "How long have you been together then?" 

"2 weeks. We started out as enemies then became friends who liked each other and decided to become a couple," Megan replied gripping Trevor's hands and putting her head down on Trevor's shoulder. Trevor tried to smile going along with Megan's plan.

The 3 finished their dinner in the next 30 minutes and decided to go to the beach right afterwards to see the scenery since Daniel had insisted. The walk was fairly short and they got to the boardwalk near the beach quickly. Megan and Trevor walked hand in hand the whole time only losing contact when Trevor's hands got too sweaty. Daniel on the other hand was walking alone looking around and greeting the locals. He had grown to know everyone in the city of Cannes because he grew up there. They stopped to sit at some benches where the view was perfect, showcasing the sunset drifting into the sea. 

"Megan can I ask you something?" Daniel asked looking at Megan laughing at some science joke Trevor had made.

"Yeah sure, Ask away," Megan replied.

"In private maybe? Sorry. It's not gonna be long its just its been killing me all day," 

"Um okay. I'll be back Trevs," Megan said bopping Trevor's nose and walking behind Daniel.

Daniel and Megan started to head down the boardwalk where some of the shops and entertainment were, to talk.

"So what did you want to ask... in private?" Megan asked Daniel.

"I know you really like Trevor and you guys seem really cute together with all the coupl-y things but you're not fooling me. Trust me, I've been in that position. Nice save at the restaurant though," Daniel said. 

"Continue," Megan said sighing and looking at Daniel again. 

"Well I really like Trevor. From the moment I saw him I was already admiring every feature he had. I mean. Look at him. I was really hoping you guys weren't a couple. You still had me believing that you guys actually were when I mentioned the matching clothes situation. Okay sorry now I'm just stalling. Megan is there any chance he could have the same feelings for me?" Daniel said looking at Megan with a sad look on his face. 

"I- ugh- um- I don't really know what to say," Megan said more confused then ever before. 

"Please tell me there is a possibility that he'll like me," Daniel said closing his eyes and stopping in his steps imagining Trevor and him walking along the boardwalk like he did with Megan.

"I mean I guess there could be. I haven't really asked Trevor about his sexuality," Megan said trying to find another way to say that she's pretty sure Trevor is straight. 

"Really?!" Daniel said with a big smile on his face.

"I'm really sorry Daniel I just think I would be all that much help. I don't really know Trevor that long. The best thing you could do is talk to him yourself. I'll bet he'll be really understanding," Megan said holding Daniel's hand to her chest. 

"I think you're right. I can't lock up my feelings anymore," Daniel said looking back at Trevor sitting alone at the benches.

~Author's Note~

1. Okay, Daniel in in the story for like 2 more chapters and also, please don't be mad that I made Daniel gay. Also, this is FICTION! I am not saying Daniel is gay in real life, it is just in this story he is.

2. I almost forgot to update today...oops? But I remember.

3. Trevor opened my snapchats to him today, that I sent to him last week. Which is hilarious and also pretty amazing!

4. Trevor is currently about 3 hours from me....I AM SO EXCITED! And my mother said that id he was to have a show in Peoria that we could drive out there, so I am praying that he does because I would LOVE to see him live and meet him as well.
