Chapter 21

The place looked really nice and welcoming. Even coming at night was a great time to visit because the place was still illuminated with lights and had a homey vibe to it. Megan and Trevor were seated quickly in a little corner near the window, so they had the perfect view of what was happening outside. Spain was a lot different from New York and it only took Megan to travel 5,000 miles and sit at another restaurant table with a great view to realize that. The two had ordered as soon as they were seated, getting the chef's specialty from the menu. Their food came just in time and their drinks had satisfied their quenches. Megan and Trevor laughed and talked through the night as they ate their food and had a great time. After paying for dinner, they took a cab to the hotel with the painting in the trunk. In the hotel room, Megan opened up the curtains covering a large window, where you could see the whole city. As she began to unpack her pajama clothes she could see Trevor stand looking through the window with his hands crossed against his chest. The only thing that could have made the view even better was Trevor's silhouette. Tired and innocent Trevor standing, deep in focus, looking at the city. Everything seemed perfect this time. She got all the paintings, had many unforgettable adventures, and the perfect person to share them with. Megan tilted her head at thought for a moment, maybe she does like Trevor. Maybe it only took 3 weeks to make her realize that. Things like these could only last so long though.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Trevor asked with a grin on his face, turning around to see Megan deep in thought herself.

"Oh what. I was just. I was just looking at the view too," Megan said blushing and tucking her hair back in her ear.

"You mean me?" Trevor chuckled posing.

"Yeah sure. Whatever makes you happy," Megan replied in a sarcastic tone. She couldn't help but laugh at Trevor's funny pose and his glowing face. "I'm going to the bathroom to change," Megan said walking towards the bathroom and closing the door. And in that moment she knew that she did like Trevor as more than a friend.

Megan walked out of the bathroom changed in her pajamas and fell on top of the queen bed all to herself. The quilt on there was huge, probably filled with pillows. She turned to her right side and was surprised to see a smiling Trevor at her side tucked in the covers.

"Trevor what are you doing here?" Megan sighed looking at Trevor's brown eyes again. They never seemed to stop sparkling ever or maybe it was because she liked him so much, that everything about him seemed attractive.

"I can't just let you sleep here alone. I thought you would be lonely. Plus I really think this bed is comfortable," Trevor whispered closing his eyes and smiling again.

"This bed would be more comfortable if I was in it," Megan said pulling her legs closer to her chest.

"Yeah that's what I thought too. See we were thinking the same thing. You wouldn't want to let me sleep on the floor on our last night together would you. That would make me really sad," Trevor replied frowning like a baby.

"If I let you sleep here will you stop bothering me?" Megan asked giving in to Trevor's sad puppy dog face.

"I promise,"Trevor noted happy to sleep in the big comfy bed.

Megan turned to her side, turned off the lamp on the table, and shut her eyes.

"Trevor stop hogging the blanket it's so cold," Megan groaned tugging the blanket to her.
