Me and the squad was currently in the basketball court today because Mackenzie said he wants to get off some steam.

We were just done playing one round when I saw Ren immediately went to grab his phone.

Ever since the group date ended, I always saw him smiling and laughing at himself while facing his phone.

I wonder why.

I heard some murmurs and giggles around us and when I look at the side of the court, it was now being surrounded with students.

But I choose to ignore them since we are already used to this kind of set-up.

"Hey, Pat. Can you ask Hyori about Maya?"

I immediately became alert when I heard Maya's name.

"Yeah? Why? Is their anything wrong?"

"She's not replying to my messages and she's not answering my calls too. I'm just worried."

He and Maya are in contact with each other?

Damn.

"Hyori said they are quiet busy these past few days. I think they are preparing for something. I'll ask later."

Ren just sighed deeply and put his phone beside his ears, maybe trying to call Maya again.

I suddenly remembered what happen in our date.

When I was about to introduce her to Tina, she was gone.

I didn't even notice her going out in the shop, so I looked for her and waited for her in the comfort room, expecting that she was only inside.

But she's not.

I was actually planning to introduce her to Tina the moment we talked but I thought that it will be rude of me to interrupt her. She was talking about something important anyway.

I grab my phone on the bench and checked my contacts again.

She was able to save her contact but when I tried to call it numerous times, it was out of reach.

I even went to changing the last digit, last two to three digits of her number, but still it was all a wrong number.

Thinking that maybe she's mad at me, I decided to see her in person the next day. But when I went to KNU, Maya is nowhere to be found.

"Maya told me she's going to leave Seoul soon."

My head immediately went up when I heard what Ren has said.

"When did she told you that?"

Ren closes his mouth and looked at me seriously.

"Why are you interested? I thought you don't like her."

I can feel that there was a tension between us but I ignored it.

"I'm just asking, dude."

I hold my phone tightly and went to sit on the nearest bench. Ren moved closer to my direction and stand in front of me.

"I like Maya first. I gave her the motive first. Can't you just back off this time?"

My eyebrows furrowed from what he said.

I understand that he likes her but telling me to back off is not his decision to make.

"Maya is--"
