As soon as Jeremy lowered his head, it became immediately clear to me what he was planning to do; however, as soon as I heard Kuya Yoon, my instinctive response was to push Jeremy away from me.
"K-Kuya! What are you doing here? You didn't knock."
I said in defense and avoided his gaze out of shame.
"I actually did, but you're too busy to hear it and since the door was open, I invited myself in. Are you planning to do something to my sister, Jeremy?"
I was about to say something to stop him but Jeremy was quick enough to answer.
"Yes, we were about to kiss but you--"
"Jeremy!"
I was so shocked by his brutal honestly but I was also concerned on what would Kuya Yoon will do to him upon hearing that.
"Love, we're not kids."
I glared at him when he just shrug his shoulders and smiled sheepishly at me in response.
"Please don't forget that I'm here."
Kuya Yoon suit himself to the nearest chair and crossed his arms. None of us we're brave enough to talk but I was relieved when Jeremy sitted properly beside me and entertwined our hands.
"I heard from Dad that your Dad's company is currently on the verge of bankrupt."
Kuya was so straightforward that I felt Jeremy's body stiffened before he raise his head.
"Did the news spread that much already?"
I saw Kuya's smirked as he softly lean his back on the chair.
"Jung, there is not a single thing that Maya's Dad does not already know. Especially when it comes to business."
I was just listening to them, trying to grasped all the information that I've heard when Kuya Yoon suddenly asked me a question.
"What do you want to do now, Maya? Do you still wanna fight for you love knowing that the Jungs are against the both of you or you wanna drop all this here and move on?"
I don't know what's gotten into me but it took me a few minutes to answer. And during that defeaning moment, I felt Jeremy's hands tighter against mine as he looked at me with an unexplainable expression.
Actually, there's no need for me to think about that. Before I woke up from that long slumber, I already had my answer.
"Whatever comes our way, I wanna fight it with Jeremy. It's our fate that being decided here, so I don't care if they keep on saying that we're not supposed to be together. Because for me, Jeremy is my soulmate. Jeremy is the perfect person that will complete me. Not Lim Sooho, or even anyone. So please Kuya, if there's anything we can do, please help us. Help me."
