Jimmy's P.O.V

As soon as I arrived at the Kim's residences, I immediately went to Maya's room.

When I get inside, she was sleeping peacefully like nothing happened. But the problem is not like that.

"How long does she have been sleeping?" I asked her father, who was sitting in a chair beside her and looking at her worriedly.

"It's been almost 12 hours." Yoon is the one who answered my question while she was fixing Maya's blanket.

"Why did she suddenly get like this? I thought she's okay."

"Her doctor already check her condition, and he said she's fine. There's nothing we can do right now but to wait for her to wake up." Finally, Maya's Dad spoke but I can sense the tense from his voice.

"Everything's fine now, Dad. You need to rest."

"How can I do that, Yoon? When I never knew when can I see your sister's eyes get open again."

I can't help but my clenched my fists from what I've heard.

No, Maya won't leave me just like that. She's strong and I still have a lot of plans for our future.

A few minutes have passed, I felt my phone vibrated inside my coat's pocket. And when I got it, I saw Ren's name as the caller.

"Ren? What's up?" It's been awhile since we contacted each other. I don't know what he needs from me now.

"Is Maya okay? We talked this morning and she suddenly ended the call. I'm just wor--"

"What did you just say?" Did I hear it right? They talked with each other?

"Huh? We talked--"

"I told you never to contact her again!" I was so mad that I can't help but to raised my voice.

Maya's Dad and Yoon both looked at my direction with a confuse look. I ignore them and grip my phone tightly, imagining it was Ren's neck i'm holding at the moment.

"Dude, it wasn't planned, okay? She suddenly went online so I called to ask her condition! Why are you strict about us meeting her anyway?"

Why? Are they seriously asking me why?

"Huh. You have the guts to asked me that after I heard you with Maya's friends talking behind her back. You even called her names just because she didn't tell you her true identity? What a hypocrite you are, Ren."

"Be careful with your words, Jimmy. You don't know anything."

"I know everything okay! Do you think I'll let you confront her after everything that she went through? Her friends didn't even think about her situation, they just went ahead and judge her because of her secret."

There was a long silence on the other line, and the only thing I can hear is my teeth grinding out of anger. Before I can say anything again, I heard Maya's soft voice calling my name.

"Jeremy? Is that you, love?"

She's awake!

"Maya!" I immediately ended the call when all of us called her and check her condition.

"Are you okay now? How are you feeling?" Yoon is already bombarding her with questions so I stayed beside her on the other side and hold her hand.

"It's so cold." She looked at our hands holding each other and tighten our grip.

"I'm fine, everyone. Please stop worrying about me."
