It's been a week since Maya was discharged from the hospital, but ever since then she became quiet and serious.

Not that she wasn't serious before but she became strangely quiet as if she was in deep thoughts.

"Hey, love. You okay?"

With outmost satisfaction, my heart skip a beat when I saw her immediately blush when I call her by that pet name.

Love.

It suits her.

"Jeremy! You're always attacking me without giving any heads up." She said while glaring at me with her red rosy cheeks and pouted.

"Love--"

"Please, stop. I told you it's not good for my new heart."

I can't help but laugh out loud when her face became flusher while she's refusing to look at me in the eye.

"Fine, I'm sorry for teasing you . I just LOVE seeing your reaction."

I tried to tease her more but immediately yielded when she turns her back at me and started walking.

We were inside their greenhouse at the back of their mansion, letting her breathe some fresh air since she's still recuperating from her previous operations.

Fortunately, her father didn't go against with our relationship. But we're not allowed to go on the a date yet because she's still resting.

"Maya, wait!"

I was trying to grab her hand when she suddenly stop from her pace.

"I was thinking.."

I knew that she's mumbling something but I can't seem to form her words because her voice is so silent.

"What? I'm sorry love, I didn't heard you clearly."

I was finally standing in front of her, staring at her beautiful face while trying to read what's going on her mind.

"Did your Mom said something about us?"

Oh, it was just about Mom.

I don't know what's wrong, but this became her habit when she was discharged from the hospital.

If she can't ask me personally, she will ask me thru chat or call if my Mom said something about her or about us.

Is there something that I didn't know?

"She did.."

I lied, hoping to get the truth from her.

I'm not sure if it was just my imagination, but I saw a flicker of pain from her eyes before she avoided my gaze.

What was that?

"Maya.. what's wrong?"

"What did she said? A-are you going to follow what she want?" I can sense some hesitation from her voice because I can feel that it trembled.

"I--"

But before I could say anything, she suddenly turns her back at me. From that moment, I knew that she was silently crying because I saw her shoulders move consistenly. As if she was sobbing but trying her best to stop it because i'm here.

Mom..

What have you done?

"I'm tired. I want to rest. I'll call you later, okay? Go home for now, Jeremy."
