4. Acceptance Overcomes Fear

Asuras were always notorious and evil. Only few out of them proved to be different and followed the path of Dharm but majority were the same............evil, ruthless and far away from the path of Dharm.

These unacceptable traits made them prey to many conspiracies by the Devas, which were very important for smooth running of the world. 

Mata Diti used to witness her children being wronged by the Devas but she never said something and accepted it. Why?............Because she had full faith in 'someone' and she believed that 'he' will never do anything wrong to her.

So when, Tadkasur, the king of Demons at that time was slayed with the help of another conspiracy of Devas, she was heart broken. But still she didn't complain. Instead, she separated herself from the world, started practicing hard asceticism and began doing hard Tapasya.

And she was accompanied by Tadkasur's family, which was now headed by his son Vidyunmali.

His father's death was making Vidyunmali go crazy with the fire of  vengeance but Mata Diti's affection and compassion helped him to keep his calm and do Tapasya with full heart and dedication, along with his wife and children.

Their dedication was so strong that they were unaware of the Yuga's which were passing by. 

Finally one day of Kalyug, Mata Diti decided that it was time that she meets her children and see how the world has changed. 

Mata Diti was amused to see a whole new picture of the world and was happy as well.

But something happened............something happened and Mata Diti.........the one who was an epitome of calmness was so angry that even the Devas of heaven feared her rage. Two powerful and Earth shattering curses left Mata Diti's mouth. 

In her rage she cursed the one.........who was the closest to her heart.........she cursed the one whom she considered to be the reason of her life. She cursed the person in whom she had faith and accused him that he wronged her..........the same person, whom she believed would never wrong her.

Daitya Mata Diti was Mahatapasvini.............she had gathered so much power in herself through her Tapasya that her curse became inevitable and it resulted in the fall of Devas.

And that's when she approached Vidyunmali and ordered him to establish an undefeatable empire of Asuras and spread the Asuric way of life everywhere.

That's how Demons took over not only the world but the whole universe.

Guru Shukracharya stared down at Umika who was thinking deeply about the story her Gurudev just told her.

She was 15 now and has been learning about 'The Sur'  aspect of life from past 5 years. In these five years she has gone through all the four Vedas, the Upanishadas, the Puranas and many other holy texts.

Not even a day passes when Shukracharya does not remember the tears in her eyes when she finished reading 'Ramayan'. 'Aise vyakti bhi hote the Gurudev?' (Such people also existed, Gurudev?) she had asked him on getting to know someone as principled and as empathetic as Shree Ram. Had he made some other student of his to read the book, he/she would have reacted very differently from Umika.
