31. Face Everything Together

Early in the morning, Hanuman ji brought all of them down Meru Parvat and back to the forest. There all of them took bath one by one. Hanuman ji saw Mrityunjay putting his washed white dhoti which he was wearing yesterday, on a branch so that it can dry up. 

Hanuman ji smiled thinking about the fact that he took only two outfits on a journey as long as this. Only 'HE' can do this. So he decided to help him and blew strong winds. Mrityunjay touched the cloth and found it to be dry in a second, he turned and gave Hanuman ji a smile. Hanuman ji felt the shyness that he felt every time when he used to praise him.

Soon they started walking by on foot towards the village. The village was still sleeping.

When they came across the house of Mukhiya ji who had given them a shelter. Umika stopped them and asked Mheem to give her the bracelet he wears which has a sapphire embedded in it. Mheem gave her a warning look but could not deny her. He removed it and gave it to her.

They all watched as Umika stood right in front of the closed gate and then tried to gently throw the bracelet on the other end. Umika smiled at the closed gate and in return of their hospitality she wished that this family gets all the happiness they deserve.

They all started walking again but before going from there Hanuman ji's eyes caught something that made his eyebrows furrow with emotions. Just on the spot where Umika had stood moments ago, were her red footprints, facing inwards as if entering the gates- a blessing from mother goddess to the residents of those living inside the house..........infact to those living in this village.

Hanuman ji did a pranam to those footprints and began walking with them.

'Mera aabhushan hi mila tha tumhe?!' (You had to give my ornament only?) Mheem asked in an irritated tone. Mrityunjay and Khyati prepared themselves for their sibling-fight while Hanuman ji was curious to hear them.

'Arre!........Ek aabhushan hi toh tha!....Kitne saare toh hain tumhare paas!' (Arre!.........It was just one ornament!.........You have so many!) Umika replied in the same tone.

'Haan par abhi mere paas vhi tha na!.......Aur vaise bhi vo mujhe sbse priya tha!' (Yes but right now I had that only!.........And otherwise also it was very dear to me!) Mheem replied.

Umika rolled her eyes and said 'Aur le lena na Mheem!..........Senanayak ho! Itna dhan toh milta hi hoga na?!'  (Yo can buy one more na Mheem!.......You are Senanayak! You surely earn that much right?)

'Pehli baat- vo mujhe Rani-Maa Virani ne diya tha!.............Aur dusri baat- mai nhi jaanta ki ab mai senanayak hoon bhi yaan nhi?!........Aur yadi hoon toh kb tak sena rahegi aur mai uska nayak rahunga?!' (Firstly- it was given to me by Rani-Maa Virani!........Secondly- I don't know if now I am Senayak or not?.......And if yes then how long will there be a sena and I'll be their nayak?!) Mheem's voice was awfully low compared to last time and there was sadness in his voice when he said the latter part.

Mheem started walking ahead of them while Umika was walking behind the three of them with Hanuman ji and she was staring continuously at Mheem's back with an expression of guilt and sadness. 

'Koi chinta hai?'(Worried about something?)  Hanuman ji asked innocently, making Umika smile at him and then looking back at the same spot.

'Sbki chinta ho rahi hai.'(I am worried about everyone)  Umika replied with a heavy voice. They remained in silence for sometime and then she started telling him her problem. 

'Mai chahe jitna bhi taal loon iss baat ko ki koi anisht nhi hoga parantu satya toh yahi rahega na..........ki humari iss yatra ke ant mein Dev aur Asur ek dusre ke samaksh avashya hi khade honge..........aur itne varshon ki pratadna ke baad.........kya dev meri baat suneinge?' (No matter how much I deny this but the truth is........that at the end of our journey, Dev and Asur will come in front of each other.........and after so many years of torture........will Gods listen to me?) she asked him.
