All he can recap is the last thing the man said before he bid farewell.

‘Then… I’ll leave it to you.’ That replayed to his mind again and again.

‘Leave what to me?’ Rock really wanted to shout Glenn’s name at the moment but could only mess his hair in frustration.

“Where exactly are we going?”

Cale was called from the kitchen as Rock asked for his presence in his office. That made Cale rethink if he ever did something wrong that would make the owner summon him.

Turned out the man called him for him to accompany him somewhere. Who knows where that ‘somewhere’ is.

Rock only looked at him and continued walking to the nearest shop.

Since Glenn managed to let him do this tour or whatever it is, he decided to buy whatever he wanted while on it.

Now, they are walking somewhere, wherever their feets bring them to.

“Do you want anything?” They are now in the baker shop for a stop but Cale still has no idea what is going on. He just nodded because he is also feeling hungry.

“What now? Where are we really going?”

“I thought you already knew. I am your tour guide right now. From this day on, we will spend the day walking around the city.”

The kid frowned at what the man said. He really doesn't have to do this, the kid thought. The kid was about to express his thoughts but the man started walking away that left him no choice but to follow.

The kid only walked beside the man as the man stopped at every store they passed by to talk to some people. Cale thought that Rock is such a sociable person despite how stoic he looks. Though Rock only stopped because the elders stopped him from every step he made.

The elders always kept him around and gave him food or stuff. That is why Rock is too lazy to leave his room. If he stepped out, he would just spend his day talking with them and have no idea how to escape. The free stuff is good though.

“Rock, how are you doing? We haven’t seen you these past days.” An old woman said. She is the owner of the flower shop one street away from Rock’s inn but also knows him because of how friendly the young man is compared to the other business owners.

“That is because I am busy with my paperworks, Grandma.”

Cale swore he saw a halo on top of the man’s head. He finds Rock’s smiles creepy and plastic. Really.

“Is that so? You must be glad to finally have time to go out, kiddo.”

“Yes.” Not, really, Rock thought.

Another woman shouted, “Rock! I have fresh baked cookies for you!”

The middle aged woman approaches them with jars of cookies. “Thank you, Aunt Anne. You look as pretty as ever.”

“This boy really. Hahaha!” Anne laughed and blushed after receiving a compliment.

While Rock enjoys the warm cookies in the jar, Cale and the old woman could only stare at the middle aged married woman.

“Are you that happy that Rock complimented you?”

“Of course! I love receiving praises. Say, Rock, can I adopt you? I'd rather have you than my son.” The old woman sighed from what the other said. Fortunately, the woman’s son came to stop her.
