"Be informed that Cale will have a break from his work tomorrow. He will return to his work once I fix his schedule. It might be the day after tomorrow."

"I understand, boss. I'll deal with it right away. Have a goodnight!"

-

Two months passed when Cale last saw Rock. The day after his rest, he started attending class with the 'Aunt Anne's' son every morning after his training with Bud. After that schedule will be hours of rest before his work. His rest time is longer than his class hours. All of that because of the schedule Rock had made for him.

That was the last interaction with the inn's owner. That was two months ago and now he was called in the owner's office.

When he entered, he saw the man casually sitting at the couch while sipping his tea.

"Have a seat." Rock said. Cale proceeded and sat on the couch across Rock's.

"Are you free, by any chance?"

"I'm not sure, mister. The kitchen is quite at ease at the moment but I think it will be busy later on."

"... I'm sure they can handle that. For now, accompany me.”

Cale was sent back to his room to pack some clothes and stuff to bring with since Rock informed for an overnight stay somewhere. The moment he stepped out his room, he saw Lux and Mack standing right across. Cale almost slammed the door when he saw them, thankfully, he managed to calm down before he really did something embarrassing.

“Manager, head chef, what are you here for?”

“I heard you will be going somewhere with the boss.” Lux calmly answered.

“Here, little boss.” Mack handed him the picnic basket they personally packed. While Cale is thankful, he still wonders why he was being called with that nickname. “The whole kitchen staff helped to prepare for that.”

“Is this for…the boss?”

“That’s for you, kiddo.” Lux said. They let out a chuckle when they saw the obvious flustered expression the young boss had. Lux also handed something to Cale, a bag, inside it is a farmer suit with the same size as him.

“What is this for?”

“You have no idea where you will be going?”

“Boss didn’t tell you, am I right?”

Both of them asked at the same time. It is weird that they even come closer to him. They look like ladies gossipers staying close to each other for others not to hear.

“He didn’t.”

“Well, it’s time for harvest.”

“And?”

“You will help the boss to harvest his farm.”

Soon, Rock called Cale again with a wagon ready for them to ride. That was a wagon owned by Rock but he rarely drove it on his own since he is too lazy to do so, not until now that he only had the kid to accompany him to his destination.

It was hours long before they arrived at his first home that was burned down before.

An old man welcomed them the moment they arrived.

“Rock, how have you been?”

“Just fine. Cale, he is Gin. Gin, he is Cale, my nephew.”

“Not son?” The old man jokingly asked that Rock completely ignore, instead went straight to the house.
