Previously...

Cale let out a soft laugh by the awkwardness between him and his siblings. Basen, who interpreted it as Cale making fun of his action, pouted and tightened the hug with his sister and older brother.

Lily took a peak on his elder brothers and smiled. She is just glad that they are finally complete.

Deruth , who slightly recovered from his overwhelming emotion, finally spoke.
"Everyone, let's go inside. A feast is waiting for us."

-
"Young master Cale, the Count has requested your presence."

Hans is with him when a servant crosses their path and delivers a message. They were walking back to the room from the training ground when that happened but Cale can't present himself in such a state so he still has to clean himself.

Hans was about to leave after he announced the young master's presence outside the Count's office when he was called out. His questioning eyes focused on the man who chose not to look at him.

"It's already been a week since the day I returned... but I never see them around."

"Excuse me?"

"Where are Ron and Beacrox?"

"Sir Ron and his son?" Hans paused for a second. "They already left the County three days before you arrived."

"...Is that so?" Hans flinched. He can feel a tone of sadness on that line but opposite to what is written on the young master's face when the young master turns around. "Thank you. You can go now."

"You arrived late."

"I greet the Count father and I apologize for my late arrival."

Cale stood next to Basen and greeted him, Basen returned the greetings.

The meeting finally began but Cale's mind drifted from the conversation. He was thinking of the reason why Ron and Beacrox left and that was when something clicked on his mind.

Cale was once assigned to organized every file on their meeting room inside the inn (if you remember, in Chapter 31 Rock and Cale entered a secret passage from behind the bookshelf, while on it, Cale came across the file of five assassin of households in the Eastern continent's underworld and he still remember what caught his attention that time.

Ron Molan, the fifth generation patriarch of the Molan Family, one of the five assassin households. It is such a coincidence for Ron to have the same name as the patriarch but Cale can smell something suspicious. There is a possibility for Ron to run away with his son while the organization were conquering their territory and killing every one of them. And the reason why Ron and Beacrox left was for revenge, they probably saw an opportunity for their revenge.

(I actually don't know if Ron hid their last name while they were working in Henituse County but let's assume they did.)

He then faintly heard something from his father that shocked him away from his thoughts.

"... Could you please say that one more time."

"Yes. Cale." Deruth faked a cough and repeated his early statement. "You shall go to the capital as our family's representative."

Cale could feel a headache coming.

"Originally, Basen was supposed to go. However, you are the first born of our family." Cale just opened and closed his mouth repeatedly as he watched his biological father sitting there with a gentle smile. Cale was quickly thinking about the information his father, Rock, shared to him before returning to the County as Deruth continued to speak.
