Watching Abuela tell Gracie's parents what happened to their daughter was heartbreaking. They left Encanto to take up Maria's offer and moved to San Andes a few days later. I tried to avoid the family for a while after we got back, as whenever they saw me it was either a grim sad look or a tight hug, thanking me or telling me how brave I was. Camilo and Isabella had no lesser treatment. Mirabel, Luisa and Dolores asked us about what happened, but none of us really felt like discussing the topic, any more than we had to.

Thankfully, Abuela, and the parents were able to quell the questions to a minimum, and we returned to our normal lives. I spent every second I could with Camilo, taking long walks through the forest in the Encanto, and helping with chores. "You look extra bonita today, mi cielito," he says while we're sitting on a blanket outside Casita after dinner one day, about 2 weeks after we came home. "Why, gracias, mi amado, you're looking quite dashing in this golden light," I respond teasingly. He smirks, his lidded eyes relaxed and calm, looking out at the sinking sun. His hand is resting next to mine on the dark blue blanket, and I move mine, placing it gently on his.

"You're so strong, mi vida," He says as I rest my head on his shoulder, following his gaze to stare out at the beautiful sunset. "You are my strength, Cami," I reply. Camilo laughs softly, a doting, affectionate laugh. The sunset before us brings me back to countless evenings before this; us dancing on the roof, escaping the family dinners to run off and watch the dying light, all the times we've said 'I love you'. There is so much more of our lives ahead of us, and I want to spend it with the boy I love, mi corazon...

Author here! Thanks to everyone who read these 3 books, finally this story line has come to an end. It's going to be a new story and I can't wait to share it with you!
