**Zara, October 1st**

"Happy Halloween!" I scream, making Kade turn around in confusion. "Trick or Treat." I hold up the bowl full of Halloween Candy.

"It's October first." He deadpans. "How did you get here?" He questions, raising a single, perfect eyebrow.

"I walked." I shrug, setting the bowl of Candy down on his work desk and taking off my Nike sweater. "It's kinda cold, y'know?"

"Yeah, it's thirty fucking degrees and you walked here? In that?"

I thought I looked nice, I guess not.

Note to Self #401: Wear a coat when its thirty degrees and you see Kade or else he'll be upset and grumpy

"You said I could come." I pout.

"When did I- fucking Andre." he scowls, calling out for Andre who appears within seconds. "That's why you had my phone?" He asks.

"I wanted her to come." Andre shrugs.

"We're leaving, Andre." Kade says, rubbing his temples.

"I want her to meet the guys." Andre shrugs.

"No." Kade denies, and I frown.

"I want to." I pout.

"You can be my plus one, then. Since Kade's being a bit-"

"Let's go." Kade cuts off Andre coldly. He grabs a handful of Candy from the bowl I brought, putting it into my hands then grabbing his keys, jacket, my sweater, and somehow my wrist then drags me out.

I'm confusion, but okay.

We get to the lobby, and he pulls on his jacket then looks at expectantly. I drop the candy in my bag then pull my sweater over my head, and grin at him when it's on. "So, where are we going?" I ask him curiously.

He lets out an irritated sigh, leading me through the parking garage to his car. "To see my...friends." He responds.

"Oooooh, those guys from the bar that one time?"

"No. Those were business partners." He mutters. "These are guys I grew up with Andre and I."

"So, that's why you're dressed so casually. I thought you were sick when I first got their because you were dressed like this." I claim, opening the passenger door for myself. "You look really good, though."

And he does.

He has on a pair of Black casual dress pants and a white t-shirt tucked into them, with a black Guicci belt with a gold buckle. And a pair of plain Air forces on his feet. He has on a gold chain as well as rings, and his Dino ring which makes me inwardly grin.

"Where are we meeting them?" I ask him.

"This old Diner we hung out at when we were in high school." He answers. "Fair warning. They're not nice."

Oh, great. More not nice people.

"Why aren't you at school? It's Tuesday."

"Teacher work day or something." I answer.

Also because he texted me and told me to come to the office. If I had school, i'd happily skip to come here instead.

******

We pull up to the Diner at the same time as Andre, who throws his arm around my shoulder and leads us inside. I immediately spot the diverse group of about 5 guys sitting in the back, laughing and being loud and happy with each other.
