Chptr.6

**Zara, Friday**

I've successfully stayed away from Kade all week and kept my distance.

Since I know he isn't fond of me, I just have to distance myself.

It does hurt, though. I really liked him; he was my friend. And now I'm back down to two friends. BUt MG and I have gotten close. I think she's my first girlfriend.

And I'm really excited about that, because...well obvious reasons.

I get out of bed tiredly, rubbing my eyes as I walk into my bathroom and begin brushing my teeth.

I finish showering and all that amazing fun stuff, then go to my closet as I check the weather. It's gonna be 25 degrees here, today. So pretty warm.

I never did understand why Americans use Fahrenheit when literally the rest of the world uses Celcius. Just like how they measure height in feet instead of centimeters. Americans are just weird.

I guess I am technically American since I was born here. But I lived in Vietnam for a whole 7 years, then moved back here.

I'm off topic.

I choose an outfit, tossing my phone onto my bed and getting changed. I put on some lotion and oil on my legs and arms and other body parts *winky winky* and then go back into my bathroom. I grab my flatiron that I've let heat up, and loosely curl my hair with it, and apply a little bit of makeup.

I finish with some Champagne Toast Perfume and lotion then smiling at myself in the mirror.

"Lookin good, Dude." I whistle at myself, then leaving my bathroom. I grab my shoes and bag that's already packed up, and my phone buzzes with a text.

MG: Dude, did you hear about the fancy business guy coming for an assembly today?
Me: mmmmmnope i didnt who is it?
MG: idk some big young CEO
Me: uhhhhhh whats hisname???
MG: i think like Kaden or smth him and his pa are coming to give us a speech about how to be sucsseful in life.
MG: We should ditch it and go get coffee instead.
Me: I like that idea ;);)
Me: ur a bad influience MG
MG: Only sometimes, Babe <3<3
MG: See you at school, Gorgeous

I found out that MG is actually a Lesbian. I think that makes her ten times cooler, honestly. She's really bold and outgoing, which makes us a perfect pair. And she's really edgy, with all her cool piercings and dyed hair. She's my #2 now, and Andre has to be my #3. Only because he keeps trying to force me to talk to Kade, and I don't want to.

I skip downstairs, grabbing a Poptart and opening the front door. I step outside into, smiling happily as I skip down the steps and down the sidewalk towards the bus stop.

Step on a crack, break your moms back.

Jokes on you, my mom's dead.

I wonder if I can still break her back in her grave.

I step purposely on every single crack, wondering each time if my mom is writhing in her grave or not.

If my mom is a crippled dead person, It's my fault now.

This is dark.

I get on the bus and sit next to Mr.Lonzo, who smiles at me. "You're bubbly, this morning." He tells me.

"I always am." I grin. "PopTart?" I offer.

"No, thank you." He chuckles, and I take a bite of the strawberry Poptart and listen as Mr.Lonzo tells me about his time in the Military and fighting in Vietnam.
