**Zara, the next morning**

So...I fell asleep.

It wasn't my fault, though. The movie was really boring.

What was I supposed to do? Pay attention.

Psh, yeah right.

"Why are you even awake?" Marco yawns as I sit at the table in front of the window and he gets ready to open the Bakery.

"Because I'm not asleep." I respond with a shrug, and he just stares at me in confusion. "I don't wanna go to school today." I whine, slouching slightly in my seat.

"Then don't."

"I have to. I already ditched yesterday afternoon. And last week, twice. Then the week before that...three times."

"Are your roommates even awake yet?" He asks me.

"MG, not. Zayn, also not. He came home pretty late last night." I say, wiggling my eyebrows suggestively. "What did you tow do?" I ask, and he rolls his eyes with a small smile.

"He wanted to know how to make bread for some reason. So I taught him."

Fun fact, Zayn's mom taught Zayn and I how to make a variety of bread when we were seven.

"Uh huh, and how'd that go?"

"He's a terrible Baker."

"I agree with that statement." I nod. "Remind me again why the Bakery opens at nearly 4am?" I ask, rubbing my eyes gently.

I definitely came down here in my pajamas, because I knew Marco would be in here. I got out of bed, brushed my teeth, washed my face, then came down here to hang out with my favorite fruity Italian before I had to get ready for school.

Because why not?

"We have a lot of Morning customers. Like Mr.Knowles who comes in to get two dozen Donuts for his employees every morning. And Mrs.Hale who gets her and her husbands Coffee oddly at exactly 5:24am every morning."

"Exactly at 5:24am?" I ask.

"Every. Single. Day." He responds, and I hum. "Hey, it's gonna be pretty nice outside today. You wearing a skirt?"

"Yes! I'm so excited, that the weather is finally warming up again." I respond with a bright smile. "I wish Kade was here. I'd force him to go on a Picnic."

"I hate that I've never officially met Mr.Hot Stuff." He sighs. "Every time I've seen him, he's glaring at me like he wants to kill me."

"He does." I nod in confirmation. "Only because he hasn't caught onto the fact that you're a little fruit roll-up."

"Did you just call me a fruit roll-up?" He asks, staring at me with a small smile.

"Fruit by the foot."

"If I wasn't gay, I'd be in love with you."

"It's okay, your gayness can make an exception for me." I say, and he winks playfully. Mrs.Noel comes down the hall, holding the little baby in her arms.

"I thought I heard your voice." She smiles at me. "Mind holding her while I make myself some coffee?" She asks, and I excitedly take the baby from her.

"Good Morning, little Tori." I coo at the little baby, who just stares at me with her grey eyes.

She's so adorable.

She looks like Marco. I bet she's gonna be so pretty when she gets older.

"You can take the evening off if you have plans for Valentines day, Zara. My sister is in town, so she'll be hogging Victoria anyways. I'll be able to work." Mrs.Noel says as she prepares her coffee.
