Chptr.28

**Kade, December 20th**

"Kaaaaaaaaade." Zara sings softly, and I groan and tigthen my grip on her, burying my face further into her neck. "It's time to wake up. We have plans today, remember. You need to go home and get ready." She tells me with a quiet laugh.

I lift my head up slightly, and she's just laying patiently, waiting for me to let her go and get up. I let go after a few more seconds, sitting up and stretching my arms. "Good Morning." She grins. "I'm gonna shower and get dressed. Go home and shower, too. And answer your phone when they text you." She says, pointing a warning finger at me.

"Fuck this. I don't wanna go." I respond bitterly, standing out of her bed and glancing outside to see that it's snowing.

Great.

"Too bad, so sad, cry me a river." She responds, grabbing her towel. "Get out of my apartment, Kade!" She sings, before disappearing into her bathroom leaving me still half asleep in her room.

Fine.

"What the fuck am I supposed to get her?" I ask Andre, who is sitting in the passenger seat of my car.

"I don't know, Man. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm supposed to get Analicia." He responds, his voice equally as panicked as mine.

"Zayn?" We ask in sync, turning to Zayn who is on his phone.

"What?" e asks, looking up.

"What do we get them for Christmas?" Andre asks, and Zayn thinks for a second.

Today is "designated Christmas shopping day" according to Zara, Kayla, and MG.

The girls, being Kayla, Zara, MG, my Mom, and Analicia who is Andre's girlfriend, went out shopping for us and each other, and sent the four of us out together as well.

"I dunno. Mark?" He looks over at my step-dad, who just chuckles.

"Listen. I've been doing this for years, Boys. Get 'em anything, they'll be happy over the fact that you tried." He says, and I roll my eyes.

"Fuck this." I mutter, taking my phone out.

Me: What do you want for Christmas, Zara?
Mi Flor: u cant ask me, kade. it has to b a surprisde
Me: I don't give a damn.
Mi Flor: well im not telling u
Mi Flor: u know me wellenough to know whzt I like
Mi Flor: ill like wtv u get me, pinky promise
Me: You're annoying for that.
Mi Flor: hehehheeheheheheh

I roll my eyes, putting my car in park and shutting it off. "Let's get this over with, then." I sigh, and we all get out. We head inside quickly to escape the heavy snow, and I look around the busy mall.

"Let's start at Bath and Body Works. Ladies love that store." Zayn suggests, and we all nod in agreement.

**Zara**

"How much do you think they're struggling right now?" Kayla asks, taking her bags from the cashier while I put my phone back in my pocket.

"Kade just tried to ask me what he wanted me to buy for him." I respond with a quiet laugh, and she smiles. We leave the store, finding the others waiting for us.

I finally got to meet Analicia, this morning when she came over so we could everyone could leave their cars in the parking lot of the apartment and take Imani's big truck. She's super pretty, like super super pretty.

I already like her a lot...definitely not just cause she's really pretty.

"Where to next?" Imani asks, and I think for a second.
